He'd been looking at me all week.
It was getting weird.

At the end of the lecture I packed up all my things, relieved that it was finally Friday. I'm gonna catch up on all the homework and have a super productive weekend.

"Hey."

I looked up and saw Josh peering down at me.

"Can I help you?"

"Yes in fact, I'm in a bit of trouble," he tried but couldn't quite contain his smile.

"Mm-hm..?" I trailed off.

"See there's this party tomorrow night and there's this really stupid rule that you can't show up unless you have a hot date."

"That's a strangely specific rule..." I replied sceptically. What a load of bullshit.

"I know right. So weird..." He trailed off awkwardly scratching the back of his neck.

"Are you trying to ask me to go to this party or something?" I asked.

"Wow, someone thinks they're hot. I actually figured I would help you out," he continued. I put a hand on my hip as I raised my eyebrow.

"Is that so?" I asked, my voice devoid of emotion.

"Well... It means you need to take a hot date and here I am. You're welcome."

When he finished the sentence I looked at him incredulously and then giggled. He had confidence, I'll give him that.

I liked him, he made me laugh.

"Fine you twisted my arm, will you please be my hot date to the party tomorrow?" I asked.

"Of course, Robbie," he smiled.
