"Perseus!" I stood up.
"Artemis?! What are you doing here?" I asked her. She just glared at me. I'm getting tired of her glares already. I wonder if she'll ever stop glaring at me. Obviously, the answer is no but I don't need to be rich to hope.
"Why didn't you tell me that you didn't know where to stay for the night?!" She shouted at me.
"Huh? Well, you didn't ask plus I thought you knew." I replied, matter of factly.
"Ugh! You idiot! I would have been in big trouble if you got yourself in a mess!" My face dropped. She looked for me just so that she wouldn't get in trouble. I thought she was really worried... I should never assume anymore...
"Oh... Well... I didn't get myself in a mess... yet." I said.
"Are you coming with me or are you planning on sleeping in the throne room?" She asked.
"Coming with you? I would rather sleep here. I don't want to die this early." She rolled her eyes.
"I won't kill you for nothing! Do you want to be killed by me for being such an idiot or do you want to be killed by Zeus because of sleeping here like a beggar?!"
"It would be less painful if Zeus killed me." I said. Then someone touched my shoulder and I turned my head. Because of our argument, I had forgotten about Hestia.
"Perseus, I suggest that you go with Artemis." Hestia said.
"But Lady Hestia..." I said.
"It's wiser if you go with her." It looks like Hestia wants to kill me with Irony. I looked at Artemis. Her arms were crossed and she was still glaring at me.
I sighed. "Okay. I'll go with her." Hestia smiled at me and flashed away.
"Are you coming or not?" Artemis said. I made a face at her.
"Coming! Oh gods! Don't you have any patience?!" I said. Then I walked up to her. "Where are we going?"
"Camp Half Blood. Let's see if you can beat me in a foot race." Artemis smirked.
"Wait what?! I don't even know that camp-whatever!" I said.
"It's on Long Island Sound. It's part of the race to know where you're going." I looked at her in confusion. Her smirk annoyed me although it was beautiful. Wait what?! "Ready... Set... Go!" Then she ran before I could even move a muscle. I decided to use my powers. She never said that it was not allowed.
I concentrated hard... Through the help of the earth, I sensed her speed and direction. I also sensed where she was. I melted into the earth and appeared in a forest. I could still sense Artemis going East. I decided to explore my powers. I wasn't much of a runner but I could use my powers to be fast. I dragged my feet backward on the earth three times and burst into a run. The earth helped me. And soon, I was running as fast as a car on a highway going at 800 miles per hour. The night's wind helped me cool down and I saw my path through the help of the moonlight. Then I saw a silver blur in front of me and I increased my speed so that I was running right beside Artemis.
"Hi! I'm impressive right?" I mind messaged Artemis.
"Impressive?" She laughed without humor. "Let's see who's impressive when we get there." Then she increased her speed. I did my best to catch up with her.
I used my powers and thick vines appeared on the ground 5 meters ahead of us which was a slope. I increased my speed and soon Artemis was at my back. I did my best in avoiding the vines. But then, I heard a scream. I stopped running and turned.
For a while, I was running on my own. I knew that I had left him far behind. He had no chance. But one side of me was also worried incase something will happen to him. When I left him in the arena, I thought he knew where to go but only when Poseidon Iris messaged me did I find out that he had no place to stay in for the night. I immediately tracked him down and found him in the throne room. I don't know if it's a wise decision to take him to my camp. The hunters would tear him down into pieces. But then I remembered the other camp. When I'm done with his training, I don't have to worry about him ever again. Then I smelled a sea and forest scent.
"Hi! I'm impressive right?" I recognized that voice. It was Perseus. He mind messaged me. Immediately, my side that hated him took action.
"Impressive?" I laughed without humor. "Let's see who's impressive when we get there." Then I increased my speed but surprisingly, Perseus caught up with me. Then before I knew it, he was already ahead of me. I'm really irritated with him now. Then I saw him slowing down and jumping. What the heck is he doing?! I thought. I realized it too late... I looked at the ground and saw thick vines. Before I could avoid it, I tripped and screamed. I saw Perseus, who was right in front of me, stop and turn but before he could move, I slammed into him. We rolled down the slope and stopped when we reached flat ground. This time, Perseus was on top of me. I could feel his breath which made me shiver. I opened my eyes and saw his beautiful sea green eyes. I couldn't move. This is the second time I'm in a situation like this with Perseus, a male. Perseus shook his head and got off me. He kept his eyes on the ground, not daring to look at me. I was really embarassed. If anyone saw what happened... I stood up shakily. I turned and saw the familiar rock, Zeus' Fist. The sun was almost going to rise. I don't want to be seen alone with a male by Apollo so I turned to Perseus.
"We are almost there. We have to get there before the sunrise." I told him faintly. He nodded and we walked to the camp.
