Lance's POV

"Easy, bro. She'll come right soon."

Napatingin ako sa balikat ko kung saan nakapatong doon ang kamay ng pinsan kong si Clay. Siya ang best man ko. I heaved another deep sigh. Honestly, I'm very very nervous right now. If you may ask why, because today is the day that I'm gonna marry the love of my life.

Exactly six months ago, when I went to Japan for a business meeting/congress, originally, four days lang yung affair na yun, but I intentionally told her na one week, so that I could have three days to prepare for everything. Sinabi ko sa kanya na one week ang itatagal ng congress. Hindi ko sinabi sa kanya, because I want it to be spontaneous and natural. Sa totoo lang, hindi naman dapat talaga ako pupunta at aattend sa congress, because I know na hindi pa rin siya ganun kakomportable pag umaalis ako, siguro ay dahil sa takot na baka hindi ulit ako makabalik. I talked to my dad about my concern whether or not na magpopropose ako sa kanya, he said that I should follow my heart that's why I took the opportunity to just accept the invitation to the congress to help me clear my head and decide.

Two days after when I get to Japan, tinawagan ko ang barkada, sina Alice pati ang mga pamilya namin at sinabi ko sa kanila ang plano ko.

Honestly, sobrang kinakabahan talaga ako dahil natatakot ako and at the same time, I am feeling ecstatic. Baka kasi mamaya, i-decline niya ang proposal ko, baka hindi siya um-oo. Natatakot ako sa feeling ng rejection, I don't want to experience the same thing over and over again.

But fortunately, she said yes. We had a six months preparation for the wedding, and everything went according to plan.

And now the moment has finally come.

"THE BRIDE IS HERE!" Anunsiyo ng wedding coordinator namin.

Seriously, it feels like I'm sweating non-stop and I have been heaving deep breaths non-stop too.

Nakita kong sumarado na ang pintuan ng simbahan, napili kasi namin ni Kristina na dito sa Tagaytay Midlands magpakasal. Six months ago, I proposed to her. Despite everything we've been through, I thank God na dito rin kami nauwi sa huli.

My dad and my mom are beside me. Tumingin ako sa kanila. They both gave me a reassuring smile and nod. Ngumiti rin ako, kahit na sa totoo lang, gustung-gusto ko nang mapaupo dahil sa sobrang kaba. (Do I sound so gay right now?)
