Bethany's POV:

"Hey, I'm gonna go get in the shower." Joey says, kissing my forehead.

"Mmkay." Is all I respond with, not looking up from The Fault In Our Stars, the current book I'm obsessed with.

I hear Joey skip into hi bathroom and turn on the water. I can hear his angelic voice floating into the room from the bathroom as he sings Lana Del Rey and Marina and the Diamonds songs.

My stomach growls really loud so I go to the kitchen and pull out stuff for eggs. I put the pan on the stove, crack the eggs into a bowl and mix them, then pour them into the pan. I can't really cook, but eggs are foolproof.

While I'm cooking the eggs I hear the water in Joey's shower turn off. I pop a few pieces of bread into the toaster and get out plates. Then I put the cooked eggs on the plates as the toast pops. I cut the toast and then put it on the plates, too. I pour some orange juice into glasses and set up the table.

I feel someone wrap their arms around me from behind. I turn around to see Joey, with only a towel around his waist. I blush a deep shade of red.

"Er...you forgot to put on pants." I stutter, my blush becoming deeper.

"You know you like it." He giggles as he kisses my forehead.

"Yeah, but I made breakfast and I'm not eating with a practically naked person sitting across from me." I say.

His laugh rings in my ears as he runs off to put on some clothes.

When he comes back, fortunately he's fully clothed. He sits across from me at the table.

"Thanks for cooking." He says with a smile as he picks up his fork and eats a bite of the eggs.

"I'll say, there not half bad." He giggles.

We eat quickly and he grabs my empty plate before I can take his and starts the dishes.

"Joey! I was going to do the dishes. You did them last time." I complain.

"But you cooked." He says without looking up.

There's no arguing with him, so I give up and go to his room and get my bag. I go to the bathroom and turn on the shower, which ends up not being that hot since Joey enjoys nearly scorching showers that are half an hour long.

After I get out of the shower I dry off and put on skinny jeans and a white blouse. I dry my hair and decide to leave it curly because it looks pretty good today. Then I apply mascara and lip gloss.

When I emerge from the bathroom Joey must've finished the dishes, but is nowhere in sight.

"Joey?" I call repeat as I search the house.

He seems to have disappeared. He's not in the house, as far as I can tell. If he did leave, he didn't leave a note or anything. He's just gone.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried. It's not like Joey to just leave without telling me. And I can't go out and find him, because I don't have a car yet and if he left then he must've took his.

I run out of the apartment, calling Joey's name. I walk though the halls of most the floors, until I get down to the parking garage. Joey's car is there though, parked in a little corner of the garage. I start walking towards it, and see he's in his car. Then I start to sprint, and when I'm within 20 feet of the car notice that he's crying.

Sorry this is short and I haven't been updating daily. I have really bad writers block and I've been busy. One chapter that I was going to update didn't post and I didn't notice until 2 days later. I'm sorry.😞
