"What are you doing here?" Atesh growled, instead of scaring me it only turned me on to him more.
"Aren't you going to invite me in little brother?" The deep voice asked, coming closer to where the kitchen was.
"There's no need now, is there?" Atesh grumbled, his voice coming closer as well. I continued to mix the cookie batter I decided to make.
"Mmm, what is that lovely smell, is there a human woman living with you brother?" The deep voice asked after taking in a deep breath.
"What do you want?" Atesh's voice came right buy the entrance to the kitchen.
"You know why I'm here, now where's the lovely little human, your hiding from me?" The deep voice asked becoming louder the closer it came to Atesh and I.
"Who I'm with has nothing to do with you." Atesh sneered, I could see his shadow against the opposite side of the wall now.
"Are you ashamed of your human brother, is it a man?" He question, I could see a bigger shadow cover Atesh's. "Cuz, if it is, I won't judge you...on the outside." The deep voice chuckled.
"No, it's not a man, what even made you think that?" Atesh snapped, I nearly burst out laughing.
"Well you never really dated girls, sure you slept with them but you never had a girl for more than a day." I was curious now, why wouldn't a good looking guy like him date girls?
"That is my business and mine alone, now answer my fucking question!" Atesh barked out loudly, causing me to jump and drop the metal pan that I was preparing for the oven.
"Shit!" I hissed catching the bowl and spoon before they too hit the ground and set them back on the counter.
"Oops, looks like the only one you frightened was your human, Maybe we should check on her, yea?" The deep voice, chuckled again before pushing past Atesh and invading the kitchen.
I quickly picked up the pan and set it back on the counter, molding the cookies into shape and setting them on the greased pan. I knew he was in the room watching me, I could feel his eyes on my back.
"Nivea," Atesh's voice was groggy as he came up behind me and rested his hands on my waist.
"Yes?" I asked turning my head toward him slightly.
"Are you alright?" Atesh asked pressing his nose into the crook of my neck.
"Yes, though, I think you should get back to your brother" I answered lowly.
"Don't worry about me, I came here to check on my little brother and what do ya know, he found himself a little woman." His brother smirked at me.
"I think you two should talk about whatever it is you need to, I'm just cooking." I said trying to get the attention away from me.
"Elle une belle on n'a?" The older one asked in french as he looked at me. I turned back to the cookie dough and continued with my baking.
"tu restes loin de ses Gavin!" Atesh growled pulling away from me and hiding me from his view. I slid away and set the cookies in the oven and set the timer.
"Look whatever it is you two need to argue about or straighten out, leave me out of it." I warned.
"Je suis désolée ma chère, my rude little brother has yet to introduce us" The older brother smirked as he stepped toward me and held his hand out for mine" My name is Gavin, I am the eldest and you?" He asked.
I set my hand in his very large one as I answered.
"My name is Nivea, I am the woman." I smiled a little, feeling compelled to keep the truth away from him.
