Backstory: Violet was dropped off at the centre in the dead of the night when she was two and a half, her soft cries for her mother the only thing she could hear for a few hours. (This may explain her dislike for silence.) As Violet grew up, she began to distrust the human race more and more and dissolve into the shadows more and more. She has been at the centre for longer than anyone still here, but most kids don't even know her because she stays as far away as possible.
