When (Name) and Ryuko were about to attack Kei, the loud ringing of the alarm clock reached their ears, signalling them that time was up, they all couldn't get the bells

"Well, too late" Kei said calmly, giving them a teasing smile, although it sounded like there was disappointment was laced in his voice

Midori scowled, frustration evident on his facial expression. The kunai he was grasping was shaking a bit because he was gripping it rather too tightly. He inhaled through his nostrils and let out a deep sigh to calm himself down, accepting the fact that they failed the test

Ryuko's eyes softly gazed on the floor, regretting why he didn't convince his team mates earlier since he (kind of) already got the message of the test

(Name), surprisingly, just stayed quiet, her arms crossed. There was thick silence in the air for a while

"Let's go back" Kei said, ending it with a sigh

"Hold on!This isn't fair!" (Name) yelled, crossing her arms while visibly fuming. Ryuko just patted her shoulder to comfort her

Midori groaned as he slipped his kunai back in his pouch, then brushed his bangs off of his eyes "Whatever..."

'Even if this guy is acting all cool, he looks just as pissed as me' (Name) thought, her eyebrows furrowed

"Come on..."Ryuko said, patting (Name)'s back

When the entire team got back to their destination, Kei stood in front of them, and stared at the three genins

"Well you guys were definitely late upon the time you realised what you were suppose to do" Kei explained "But at least you knew"

"Not all of use thought of it actually" (Name) honestly said, swallowing her pride "Only Ryuko..."

"But I didn't continue any further to convince you guys...Because I was scared of what your reactions may be..." Ryuko explained meekly. Midori held his chin up when he heard the sword man's excuse

"What did you think our reactions would be then?" Midori asked, glancing at him

"Well..."Ryuko mumbled, playing with the grass softly with his foot

'Wahhh! He looks like a lil kid~' (Name) and Kei squealed in their head, while Midori looked away with a light pink tint in his cheeks, trying to fight back the thought of Ryuko looking adorable

"I thought it was a bad idea, because you guys looked like you were doing a better job all alone..."

"Welp, that didn't really work out" (Name) said, laughing while stretching her arms

"The thing was" Kei finally spoke, causing the three to look at him "You guys managed to find out altogether,even if it was only at the end, that I'm proud of, but can you guys be a little bit faster next time?" Kei said "If you guys were slow on an actual mission, imagine what could happen to each of you guys because of being late?"

The three gulped at the thought, and nodded weakly

"In the shinobi world, teamwork is everything, sure becoming skilled as a lone individual is okay and very impressive, but you can't just depend on yourself forever. There are some things that cannot be done all alone, causing us to unite or have comrades, especially in battles. Do you get me?"
