I cried that day when Pops sent me out. Hearing all the laughter and joy of all of my past guild mates made me cry harder, suddenly bawling. Flashbacks of the good old days flashed in my mind, and that tortured me even more.

"Elfman!" I yelled, across the guild hall. "What about me and you do a job together? You know, for old times sake. '"
"Yes!" He replied, "A real man always goes on every job he is offered!" With that, Elfman bounded towards me, making the ground shake beneath me. It was only a few months ago when Lasana passed, and Elfman transformed. He used to be his parakeet loving baby man. Now he is a true man. Always yelling about how he is a real man, or how manly he is.

Laxus cried a bit harder remembering one of his early missions. He turned around, and fantasia was far in the distance, still glowing. He turned back around, put on a straight face and headed north, to a small town named Old Alder. He did a job with the thunder legion there once, and vowed to go back. The small little town was cradled in between two mountains, and the view was amazing. Of course, the train couldn't take him all the was there. He had a days walking from the nearest train stop.

"One ticket to Violet City" he told the ticket clerk. Getting his ticket, he set out on the rickety train, witch he was sure to get motion sick from. As the train made its way away from the station, another vivid memory flashed through his head.

"How long until we get there?" Whined Bickslow, his babies echoing.  "We must have been on this train for hours!" He cried, his babies echoing again. "Oh could you shut up! " Evergreen yelled. "Every Fairy needs to get their beauty sleep! And you and your 'babies' aren't helping the true queen of the fairies!" She said with a huff, turning her body towards the window. " We will get there in an hour. " Freed said, right as always. " What is this job even about Laxus?" Bickslow asked impatiently. "It better have high pay or else we would have spent all of our earnings on train tickets!"
"No worry Bick. With this job, we each make 4,000,000 jewl. And for the actual job, i'm not exactly sure. " I replied curtly. You can just see by the look on Freeds face that he isn't enjoying the suspense of not knowing what the job actually is. Evergreen was snoring loudly, Freed writing possible enchantments nervously, and Bickslow humming to an extremely annoying children's song. Just looking at his team mates, he knew he couldn't leave them. Even with all of them in this annoying state, he loved them and nothing was ever gonna change that.

Wiping a tear from his cheek, Laxus got off the train at Violet City Station. Not seeing any of the thunder legion might be the hardest thing he will have to do. Walking straight into the nearest pub, Laxus sat down and drank his sorrows. He drank the pain of being kicked out a fairy tail, the pain of not being able to see the thunder legion, and the shame of his loss of everything he cared about. He drank until he passed out on the bar stool, not to be waken up until the morning.
