Her Song {A StarCo Fanfiction}

Chapter Thirty-One

Nobody had taken the news of Sear's disapperance very well...There had been a lot of uncontrollable sobbing and tears, but they had been concealed by a mask of happiness...
Marco had been the most distraught person after he'd witnessed Sear's disapperance firsthand. He'd fallen into a state where he didn't want to do anything or speak to anybody.
The teenager had even turned food as well, not eating as regularly as he usually did.
The Safe Kid didn't even eat his favourite signature nachos...
Star had attempted to recreate the snack herself earlier in the week, in order to suprise the bruenette, but it had came out looking a lot like pieces of charcoal rather than golden triangles of delicousness!
However, her feelings got through to Marco, even if her culinary skills didn't. The dish made the Safe Kid feel a familiar, loving warmth, which signalled that were was still some hope for him to get over from almost suffocating depression...

Well, all of that was only natural.
It had already been roughly a month since Sear had vanished, after all... Marco had decided that the flirtatous blond wouldn't want to see him and everybody else being all deppressed over her, so the bruenette had pulled himself together, so that he could continue living his life.
He had even returned to Echo Creek with the princess of Mewni, so that they could both finish their final semester at ECH. (Echo Creek High)
The teenagers beleived that a change of pace would do them some good and they instantly smiled as soon as they got back on campus, remembering all the previous adventures they'd had together in their school.
Albiet, some of them hadn't been all that great, but they were still memories nevertheless!

Heading back up the stairs to Room 23 was extremely nogalistic as well, the room hadn't been touched since Marco had left it to go over to Mewni during the summer vacation; which meant that the place was a absolute state.
The Safe Kid had forgotten about cleaning up the room after he'd fought against Tom's two impersonator clones, so it quite literally looked like a tornado had touched down in the centre of the room.
"I knew that I forgot to do something before I left for Mewni..." the bruenette chuckled, as he picked up a couple of books and carefully placed them back on a shelf. "Help me out, Star?"
"Sure thing, but still what happened here anyways?" The blond replied, picking up a flower pot that had been knocked over.
"Uhm...its a long story...let's just say that it doesn't matter anymore, okay?"
"Ah! You're hiding something from me aren't you?"
"I-I'm not! I'm just not telling you for your own good!"
"Seriously, Marco~?"

The bruenette broke into a smile, this reminded him of old times when he, Star and Sear used to hang out together...
"Still, I remember when we first met Marco; do you...?" the Mewni princess asked, as she took a seat on the bruenette's bed.
"Of course I do, Star! We met in this room on the night of Ferguson's party ages ago and...you...were butt-naked..."
The blond smiled and blushed, looking down at her lap.
"T-That's right, Safe Kid...It might be a funny story to tell our kids when they're older..."
"Yeah...w-wait, kids?!?"
"I-I mean, that's still a long way off! So, don't worry, okay?"
Marco plopped down next to his blond girlfriend, breathing a sigh of relief.
"P-Phew...! I thought that you meant...well, y'know..." he replied, chuckling nervously.
"Y-Yeah, it's a bit too early to be thinking about...kids..."
"Definitely..."

The duo sat quietly on Marco's bed for a couple of minutes, letting the quietness wash over them like a wave. They gently clasped each other's hands, blushing innocently as they did so.
"Marco, I love you, you know that, right?" Star asked, looking into the Safe Kid's eyes.
"Of course I do...I love you as well, Star" the bruenette smiled, Eskimo-kissing with the blonde.
"I'm going to tell you something...something very important...Can I trust you to keep it a secret for me?"
"Sure thing"

Star stood up and walked over to her old clothes drawer, opening up the bottom one and pulling out a brightly-coloured one piece dress and a lomg-haired blue wig, showing them to Marco.
The Safe Kid instantly recognised the outfit in a matter of seconds.

"Star? Isn't that...SB's costume? Why do you have it?" He asked, catiously, as Star chuckled, nervously.

"That's the funny thing, Marco...SB is actually me..." she replied, as the Safe Kid looked at her in a mixture of confusion and disbelief.
