I hadn't spoken to Lauren nor the rest of the girls for the rest of the weekend. In fact I hardly left the house. Layla was worried about me but I told her that I was fine. She clearly wasn't convinced but left me alone anyway.
Now, it was Monday morning and I had no option but to face the girls. And Mitchell, I still had to talk to him as well. I definitely wasn't looking forward to the day ahead, that's for sure.
When it was time for me to get to school I had to prepare myself for the girls bombarding me with questions about why I had been ignoring them all weekend. Each of them had called and messaged me multiple times but I just didn't want to deal with it. Lauren had messaged me quite a lot too and from some of her messages, it sounded like she did actually remember what she had said after the party but then again I still wasn't sure. All I knew was that talking to her was going to be difficult today.
I pulled up in the car park and sure enough, the girls were standing there with annoyed faces as they watched me get out of my car. I sighed as I mentally prepared myself for what was to come
"Chloe! Where the fuck have you been?" Maddi practically yelled.
"Yeah, why have you been ignoring all of us?" Bianca asked, in a less angry voice than Maddi.
"We were worried about you. Lauren and I came past your house but Layla answered and said you weren't home." Elena said. Well either she's lying about them coming to my house or I have to thank Layla later for covering for me.
I looked at Lauren, expecting her to say something as well.
"What? Got nothing to say now?" I snapped at her, ignoring the other girls shocked expressions.
"I-i..." Lauren struggled to talk.
"Yeah, right. Well if you're all done having a go at me, I need to talk to Joel." I said.
"Why do you need to talk to Joel?" Bianca asked confused.
"Why don't you ask Lauren. She seems to know everything about me." I snapped before I turned around and walked off. I wasn't going to go talk to Joel or Mitchell yet. Not in the state of mind I'm in.
As I was walking away I heard the girls start talking again. I slowed down a tiny bit just to hear what they were saying.
"What the fuck was that about?" Maddi asked.
"Yeah, why is she mad at you Lo?" Bianca asked.
That was the last I could hear before I was too far away. I didn't mean to snap at them like I did. Elena, Maddi and Bianca certainly didn't deserve that. But Lauren, well when I saw her I immediately remembered how she made me feel that night and it was either I snap and get angry or I was going to cry.
As I was walking, I made a detour down to the bleachers. Class didn't start for another twenty minutes and I sure as hell wasn't going to sit with the girls. I sat at the top of the bleachers as I sighed, thinking about how I was going to handle things. I could just go back and apologise for my behaviour but that still wouldn't make everything okay again. But then, what else is there to do?
I was lost deep in my own thoughts when I heard someone cough next to me, apparently trying to get my attention. I turned to look and saw it was none other than Ashley.
"Hey Ash." I said softly.
"Hey..." She said.
"What brings you here?" I asked.
"I would ask you the same thing but I have a fair idea." Ashley laughed lightly.
"God, please don't tell me you witnessed that?" I face-palmed myself.
