When I opened my eyes I was the nurse's office, I tried to sit up but a pair of hands pushed me back down by the shoulders.
I looked to my right to see Nathanael smiling at me.
"What happened?" I asked, my head was hurting as bad as if I was having one of my 'triggers'.
"I was going to ask you the same thing," Nathanael answered, worry in his voice, "When you didn't come back I asked Mrs. Wayne if I could go look for you. As I was walking to the lockers I saw you near the exit, I called your name, you looked at me with your red eyes, then you collapsed."
My eyes were red? But I wasn't having a 'trigger' moment. I told him, "The last thing I remember was a headache starting, I thought it was a 'trigger' but something was different about it and then everything went black."
I watched as Nathanael's eyes widened with fear. I looked at him confused and waited for an answer, but he just shook his head and looked away.
"So, where's the devil?" I asked him.
"Speak of the devil, and he shall appear," a familiar voice came from the foot of the bed.
I sat up and saw Lucifer smirking at me.
Nathanael growled under his breath. "You're not suppose to use your powers in public!" he hissed.
"Relax, no one saw. Mrs. Wayne thinks I'm in the little boys room." He answered.
At that point the lunch bell went and my stomach growled loudly. I looked down, embarrassed. I could feel the heat rush to my cheeks.
Both Nathanael and Lucifer laughed.
"Sounds like someone wants feeding. Breakfast wasn't enough?" Lucifer teased.
"Come on, let's go get some lunch." Nathanael said. He offered his hand to me, I took it and stood.
At that exact moment a 'trigger' went off and the nurse walked in. I fell right back down onto the bed, clutching my head.
"No!" I shrieked. "Not now, please not now!"
"Oh my! Are you okay, dear?" she asked, concerned.
"I-I'm f-f-f-fine," I stuttered, still hands on my head. "I j-just need fre-fresh air." And ran out the room.
The 'trigger' was telling me it was going on to the right, so I turned left down the hall, praying I miss it. I could see the fire exit when nails dug into my upper arm. I shrieked out in pain and looked up to see a pissed off Stacy. God she picked the worst moments to harass me, I knew my eyes right now would be their bright, blood red color.
"Listen bitch. I don't know what spell you got on those boys, but Dominic is mine!" she hissed. God she really needed to get over herself, I thought. "So you stay the hell away from him."
"Yeah, sure, whatever you say," I tried to walk away but her nails dug harder into my arm. I winced.
"Are you mocking me?" she asked, she was getting more and more annoyed.
"No, I'm trying to leave if you don't mind!" I shot back. 'Where the hell did that come from?' I thought.
She stared wide eyed from my back chat, but then her eyes narrowed, "Who the hell do you think you are?" she growled.
I saw her eyes widen again as she caught sight of my red eyes, "What the fuck is wrong with your eyes?" she asked. "You really are a freak, aren't you?"
