"Sear! Where are you?" Marco called worriedly as he pushed his way through the large crowds of happy, celebrating Mewmans, panting and sweating.
He knew that he had to find his the blond no matter what, but the bruenette knew that his situation was already looking quite bleak. The Safe Kid had already done a whole full lap of the gigantic courtyard, but he hadn't seen Star's doppleganger anywhere!
Almost naturally, fear and worry began to engulf Marco at a terrifyingly rapid pace, thinking straight in his current situation was like asking him to push an entire train to every station, whilst only using his pinky finger alone!

Impossible.
To the highest degree...

What if something life-threatening was happening to Sear, whilst he wasn't there?
Maybe she'd been attacked? The blond had already looked pretty sickly earlier, so she probably didn't have a lot of strength left in reserve if she had to fight back against somebody.
Just the thought alone was enough to make Marco's blood run cold...

"S-Sorry, excuse me!" The bruenette began, tapping a random orange-haired woman on her shoulder. "Have you seen a girl come by here?"
"A girl? Hmm...now that you mention it, I did see a blond come running through here about five minutes ago" the woman recalled. "She had the most beautiful scarlet flower in her hair, but I think that she was crying..."
"T-That's her! Do you know which way she went?"
"I think she was heading towards the forest...uhm, can I ask what happened?"
"It's kinda of a long story, but thank you anyway!"
From then on out, Marco made a mad dash towards the said forest, hoping and praying that he would catch Sear before she tried to do something risky.
The bruenette knew that he would never forgive himself if something were to happen to his fun-loving, seductive blond...
But this was hardly the time to be having regrets, even though she was refusing it, Sear needed the Safe Kid's help.
What was she hiding? Marco simply had to know.
And it wasn't just for everybody's  sake, but for the beautiful doppleganger's as well...

"Sear! Wait up!" The bruenette called as he caught up with Star's twin a couple of minutes later in a dark-looking forest.
The atomsphere in the greenery appeared to be quite heavy and almost suffocating.
Maybe it was because both of the teenagers had been running non-stop for at least ten minutes or perhaps it was because of the way Sear tried to distance herself from Marco whenever he tried to get any closer to the blond than he already was.
"M-Marco...why're you...chasing me?" Star's twin asked, her breathing had become increasingly raspy from their intense sprinting session earlier.
"Sear, c-can't you tell me what's going on here? Star and I feel really lonely, I thought we told each other everything..." the bruenette wheezed in response. "What's the m-matter with you?"
Sear looked at the Safe Kid with a sad-looking smile, tears were beginning to appear in her big, bright, blue eyes.
"Say, Marco" she began, as she slowly began to walk over to him. "You love me, right?"
"W-What? Well, yeah, of course I do..."
"Then, as my loving, handsome boyfriend, can you do me a small favour?"
"Sure, anything if it's within reason"

"Thanks...Then, can you...forget about me? "

Marco blinked at Sear in a haze of confusion and panic as the blond quickly leaned in and pressed her soft pair of lips up against his own.
The kiss felt loving, yet so sad...it was a wave of unconditional love, but also a mixture of  defeat and denial at the same time...
It felt unnatural and wrong...

"Aww, I guess I'm out of time then..." Sear mumbled, as she broke the sad smooch, wiping a tear from her eyes. "I wish I could've stayed a little bit longer..."
"W-Wait! Where are going, Sear? Tell me!" The Safe Kid shouted, as the blond ran a hand through her soft golden locks.
"Hmm...Vacation, I guess?"
"When will you be back by?"
"Never."
"H-Huh?"
"I-I'm going away forever, Marco...I hope that both you and Star's relationship goes well! Oh and..."
"SEAR!" The bruenette shouted, loudly, interuppting the blond's sentence.
"W-What is it?" She replied, shakily; trying to keep on her brave mask.
"P-Please...stop trying to act like this doesn't bother you, cause you're killing me here..."
"W-What are you talking about? Things like this happen to people everyday, y'know! It's just part of life, because..."

Sear didn't finish what she was saying, due to the sad-sounding sobs and tears of regret that followed.
The two teens embraced each other in the middle of the forest, completely distraught. Their crying was echoing throughout the tress, as they said goodbye to one another.
"S-Sear! Why're are going?" Marco asked, in-between tears. "Why now of all times?"
"B-B-Because! Clones like me have an expiry date!" Star's twin wailed, as the bruenette leaned in to kiss her, but she put one of her soft, slender fingers to his lips. "N-No Marco...Save all of those for Star, okay? Make her the happiest girl in the world, alright?"
"Y-Yeah...I definitely will! B-But..."

Sear stepped away, wearing her sad smile yet again. She pulled the red flower out of her hair and gently handed it to the Safe Kid.
"Our time was short, M-Marco Diaz, but I honestly enjoyed it! I am and will always be completely head-over-heels in love for you! I hope we meet again some day...maybe in a different life, so then we can be together forever...
But for now...Goodbye forever, Safe Kid..."

There a brief gust of wind, forcing the bruenette to close his eyes, but when he reopened them, the golden-haired beauty in front of him had totally disappeared, just like the fleeting wind had a few seconds earlier...
