In less than a second he was across the room. He kneeled down in front of me and looked straight into my plain brown eyes. His eyes weren't blue anymore; they were as black as the night sky.
"You're beautiful." He breathed. He lifted his hand to touch my face as if to see if I was real and not a figment of his imagination. And then he crushed his lips to mine, holding my face in his hands.
It was the best feeling in the world. I had heard stories about it but actually kissing your mate was different. It was so much more than the stories described. It was everything you could ever want it to be. It felt like a dream but so much better.
"Titus!"
He stood up, pulling me up with him. He was definitely a foot taller than me. Slinging his arm around me, he pushed me behind himself, as if trying to protect.
"She's innocent, Liam." He said, harshly. Liam didn't seem to believe him though. How was he so sure of my innocence, though? Wait, he was an esprit wolf. He could look into my mind. Woah.
"You have to be fair here, Alpha!" Liam yelled angrily. His eyes were turning black as well.
"I'm telling you what I know! She isn't hiding her brother!"
Liam sighed and seemed to calm down a little. He was trying to think rationally, I could tell.
"Titus, you can't be biased in such a situation!"
"I'm taking her with me!"
"You can't because she's our prisoner!" Liam argued. Alpha Titus started to shake with anger as soon as Liam uttered those words.
"She's my mate! She's mine!"
He was starting to scare me too. I didn't want to go with Alpha Titus even if he was my mate but there was no other way of getting out. He was my mate but I wished that he hadn't been. I didn't deserve him.
"She's hiding crucial information!"
"She's not!"
"You know, Michael, if you take her you'll be starting a war."
"Do you think I fucking care? I'm ten times stronger than you and Max combined!" Alpha Titus shook with rage.
This was true and Liam knew it. If he had to fight Alpha Titus there, he wouldn't be able to do it without an army. No regular wolf could fight an esprit wolf and come out alive.
"She's a criminal!" Liam shouted.
"First, you lock her up with a male and then second, you don't accept her innocence when I'm telling you of it. If I knew where her brother was I would tell you because then she would be out of harm's way but she doesn't know anything!"
"If you leave now and you take her then we're not allies anymore." It was Liam's last attempt to salvage the situation.
"Fine," Alpha Titus said.
"Then you're free to leave but she never comes back and neither do you."
"Fine,"
Alpha Titus grabbed my hand and pulled me along with him. His men made a circle around us and followed us outside where his cars were already waiting.
There were four black SUV jeeps. We climbed into the third one. Alpha Titus was the one driving and no one else was allowed to sit with us. I could see that in the car behind us there were three people crammed into the back seat.
He revved the engine and we were out of the Williamsons' mansion in less than a minute.
Everything had happened so fast and I was still trying to comprehend it all. Alpha Titus was not uttering a word. He was just driving as fast he possibly could and I had to hold on to the sides of my seat. It was two hours before we were finally out of Bluemoon pack's territory.
