You walked up to the door and looked through the glass, coming face to face with the cocky grin from of your brother. You threw the door open in excitement. You didn't even get one word in before Lance pulled you into a hug. You hardly noticed the other Paladins and Alteans walking in as Lance picked you up and spun you around in his excitement. You were both laughing like the little children you were at heart.
"Okay, okay. That's enough you two..." your mom giggled at your little reunion. Slowly, Lance set you down on your own feet. That's when you noticed the rest of the Paladins. You blushed when you noticed that they were all staring at both of you.
"Hi...." you waved nervously at them. But Lance was a lot more comfortable around them of course.
"Awe, don't be shy, sis! This is your team now. Everyone, this is my little sister, (Y/N)!" Lance introduced you confidently. Then, a man with black hair and white tinted bangs who seemed to be the most mature of them all started talking.
"Lance, your sister has a right to be nervous. We did just meet, after all. I'm Shiro," Shiro introduced himself, holding out a robotic hand for you to shake. You shook it nervously, not understanding why it was there in the first place.
"I'm (Y/N)," you introduced without Lance's help this time. Since Lance listened to Shiro so well (and Lance never listened to anyone unless it was his parents), and the way he held himself, you could tell that he was the leader.
"I'm Pidge," A shorter girl with short, dirty blonde hair came forward as she introduced herself. You sighed, relieved, mentally. Another girl!
"Hey," You greeted a little more confidently.
"I'm Hunk. I'm the voice of reason out of the three of us," A boy with tan skin and long dark hair pointed at himself, your brother, and a boy with a red jacket and a mullet. You laughed at Hunk's introduction; You could tell that you were going to like him a lot.
You continued to look at the mullet man, waiting for him to introduce himself. Hunk seemed to notice this.
"Oh, that's Keith. He's not one for interacting with new people," Hunk explained apologetically. You just nodded. Keith had stood there the entire time with a glare, as if he didn't want to be here right now. You feared the worst; that you were already being judged by him. You knew that it was probably true, but you didn't think it was fair. Sure, Lance could be annoying, but Lance is Lance and you are you.
The other two people noticed the awkward tension and decided to introduce themselves. "I am Princess Allura of Altea, and this is Coran," A beautiful girl with long white hair and white markings introduced herself and a shorter man with orange hair and a big, bushy mustache. You giggled, fake curtsying with an invisible skirt as the princess giggled along with you.
"So, that's everyone I think. Well, what have you been doing since I've been gone?" Lance asked you, trying to keep your attention away from Keith.
"Oh, just hanging out with some friends," you said nonchalantly.
I wasn't sure sure how I felt about being there. I hated the fact that she was related to Lance. Lance was always annoying and just a total pain in my neck ever since I met him three years ago. But, there was something different about this girl. Her name was beautiful, and she was very pretty. The way her (H/L) (H/C) hair fell and her eyes popped against her (F/C) shirt. She was breath taking and I couldn't deny it, but I had to.
I listened to her conversations intently as I pretended to be bored with it. I was intrigued by this female in front of me, but I had no idea what could attract me like that. I found no answers in her conversations either. Just normal, shy, human behavior. After they had introduced me, Hunk had sneakily elbowed me so I would be nicer, but he didn't understand how I just couldn't.
I started zoning out as she talked to the princess. That's when I heard it.
"HEY BABE!" Someone called down the stairways....
I'm sorry I haven't been posting like I normally do! I've been working on multiple stories, plus school has been throwing a lot of projects and quizzes and papers at me, which has been stressing me out more than I would like to admit. So any free time I had normally went to resting up. Hopefully I can get back in the groove, but work with me if I don't!
