“I’m gonna kick his ass,” Chaz declared angrily, curling his hands into fists.
“Me too.” Ryan commented, his voice a low growl as an angry glint came into his eyes.
“Not if I get there first.” Jasmine stated, shaking her head back and forth in disgust.
The three of them were standing outside of Jasmine’s hotel room with Justin and Allie, after having just received a thorough and noticeably angry explanation from Justin about what had been going on with Shaun.
“I knew you were lying when you said you’d fallen down!” Chaz yelled, directing his attention at Allie and motioning towards the now-visible bruises across her face.
Allie seemed to shrink backwards at that moment, a fearful expression coming over her.
Seeing this, Justin placed a reassuring arm around her waist, sending her a look that was clearly a gentle reminder as to the fact that Shaun was not present and Chaz was nothing like him.
“I’m sorry.” Allie managed to say weakly, the merest sense of defeat emanating from her voice. “I wasn’t trying to keep it from you guys or anything, I was just...scared.”
“Don’t apologize, Al.” Ryan stated dismissively, reaching over and pulling her into a sideways hug. He rubbed her arm soothingly, leaning his head against hers as he did so. “No one’s blaming you for anything, this is completely understandable.”
“Yeah, luvie.” Jasmine chimed in, reaching out and grasping Allie’s hand in hers. “You know how much I love you, I would never hold something like this against you. I’m mad at myself more than anything for not realizing sooner...” She trailed off, her large brown eyes surveying Allie sadly. “I mean...I knew from the start that he was trouble, but...I just didn’t realize howmuch trouble that would be...”
“Yeah...” Allie murmured quietly.
“We’re gonna kill him.” Chaz declared, staring at her as he indicated between himself and Ryan. “I’m serious, he is not getting away with this.”
Ryan shook his head adamantly. “Hell no.”
“You don’t have to do that,” Allie said weakly, a tremor of misery hidden in her voice.
“Yes we do.” Chaz replied immediately. “We’re gonna beat that little motherfucker into the ground, just like we did to Liam Seyfried.”
“Only fifty times worse.” Jasmine cut across him.
“Damn straight.” Ryan and Chaz said in unison.
“Guys, no.” Allie said shakily, speaking up.
All three of them and Justin turned to look at her.
“What are you talking about?” Justin asked, a discontent frown on his face.
“You’re not gonna do anything.” Allie replied. “You...you can’t do anything.”
“What the - yes we are, Allie!” Chaz cried. “There’s no way in fuck any of us is gonna let him get away with this!”
“I told you, I’m gonna make sure he never touches you again.” Justin stated firmly.
Allie merely shook her head, staring at the ground sadly. “He’s gonna hurt me when he finds out you know.”
“And that’s why we’re gonna kill him before he finds out.” Chaz replied, shrugging.
Allie let out a miserable sigh, running a hand through her hair and shutting her eyes tightly.
