The Test

Hey guys! It's update Friday! YAY! I can't believe I'm still keeping this up. I usually fuck everything up by now, ya know? Also, this chapter is a little bit short. I decided I needed to add a bit more before getting to the actual plot. Sorry for the slow beginning.

This chapter is dedicated to WolfMoonGoddess for coming back. Welcome back buddy!

Pic is of Sasori!

I stared at the Akatsuki members with a blank look on my face.

"You mean to tell me," I started with a deadly calm voice, "that all the shit that I just went through was a test?"

I heard a loud gulp.

"No," Pein reassured me, "that was just the initiation. The real test starts now."

INITIATION?! THAT'S EVEN WORSE! And what did he mean by n-

I quickly jumped out of the way as Sasori's puppet flew towards me.

"Wait, what the hell?!" I cried out as I noticed all the other members step back so it was just Sasori and I.

"I don't like to be kept waiting, brat," he said in a monotone.

"What?! What's going on!?"

Needles were sent in my direction and I attempted to dodge it.

Keyword: attempted.

"Owie..." I mumbled to myself as I looked at my scratched arm.

Good thing that was just a needle-

He only smirked as a reply.

Shit! Does that mean he did poison it or is he just messing with me?!

I didn't have time to think more on it as he came at me again. All I could do was run and dodge. Again and again and again.

"Fight back already, brat!" He called out from within his Hiroku puppet.

Involuntary tears sprung in my eyes as I crossed my arms over my face to protect myself.

What am I supposed to do? I'm no ninja!

"Let me help you."

My eye widened at the calm voice.

"What? How?" I whispered so the others didn't hear.

I could've sworn I heard someone mutter 'crazy bitch' from where Hidan was though...must've imagined it.

"Remember my abilities, I have teleportation, healing, and defense."

I screeched in fright as a kunai landed next to my face.

"Such disrespect, I thought I taught you better," she sighed, "you must hold your arms out and call out mamorimasu, 守る, which means protect."

"MAMOR-uh- what was it again?"

"MAMORIMASU! PROTECT!" I yelled while throwing my arms out in front of me.

A bright white barrier bubbled to life until  it formed an oval shape around me and the ground near me.

A heard a few gasps, but mine was the loudest.

"Oh. My. JASHIN! It actually worked! I'm not crazy! Unless I imagined this whole thing and I'm actually at home and ohmygoshwhatifthisisalladreamandnoneofthisisrealand-"

When I put my arms down sometime during my mini panic attack, I accidentally released the barrier and Sasori immediately saw the opening and rushed in.

Before I could even blink I had a kunai knife at my throat.

I swallowed roughly.

Welp, I'm fucked.

"Hm...Well you lasted longer than most people with no ninja training, I guess you at least have a bit of potential. Even if it is just a bit..." Pein thought out loud.

My eyebrow twitched, Was that supposed to be a compliment?

Pein sighed, "Listen up, this is going to be your schedule; your going to be training with a certain member of the Akatsuki every day, unless you have missions, and rest on the days I tell you to, got it?"

What choice do I really have?

"Don't make me regret letting you live."

I walked down the hallway with a thoughtful expression on my face.

Should I tell Sara about the whole Naruto thing? I mean...she's my best friend, I tell her everything...but, will she even really believe me?

"I would suggest not mentioning this to anyone of your world," Kanna piped up," It would lead to the same insanity that would come to be if you told the Akatsuki what you know about them."

But Kanna! She's my best friend! She'll believe me...right?

"Pfft, even I have trouble believing you and I'm living through it!"

I sighed. Maybe she's right after all. I don't want to lose my only friend.

"What's with the long face?"

I jumped at the voice and smiled when I saw who it was.

"Hey Sara, how'd you do on your test?"

"I took that test in 2nd do realize we're going to 7th right?" She told me while looking at me funny.

"Sorry, I'm just feeling off today. Don't worry though, I'm fine," I waved her off when I saw the worry start to well up in her eyes.

"Whatever you say, Kira, but just know that you can tell me anything, I'm a great listener, ok?" She smiled at me.

I gave a tiny one back, "Of course."
