"That's my best friend." I chuckled.

"I hope he falls of a cliff and breaks all the bones in his body and his body goes up in flames and his face is all fucked up and no one attends his funeral." Aubrey causally murmurs and I burst out laughing.

"Nice one." I shake my head, still laughing.

"I don't know if I'm ever going to find someone." Her shoulders slumped all of a sudden and I sighed.

"Hey, it's okay." I put a hand in her shoulder. "Xavier seems to like you.. A lot." I smile, but she shakes her head. "Oh, trust me. Didn't you notice how angry and jealous he got when you were talking about Cameron in the cafeteria?" I smirked and that earned a grin from her.

"Really?" She hopefully asked.

"Uh huh. You should just do him already." I patted her shoulders, sending her a wink.

"You dirty girl." She smirked, "You've already done it with Cody, right?" She waggled her eyebrows.

"No actually, we haven't." I laughed slightly. "It's not like I'm a virgin, why are you asking?."

"You haven't?!" She shrieked. "Just make sure you don't get preggers." She grinned. She totally ignored my question there.

I smiled, and as I shuffled through the line of dresses, a metallic shine caught my eye. I gasped when I pulled it out and held it in front of me to get a clear view. The dress was a metallic silver maxi, with a shinier bow mid waist and a net overtop. I heard someone behind me.

"Wow." Aubrey sighed, and I turned around to look at her, "That's the one." I can't believe I found it the first time, I mean, that's saying something, normally it takes me at least fifteen dresses to find the right one. And the funny thing was, that the one I was holding was the last one, and in my size too.

"Go try it!" Aubrey clapped, and I rushed over into the changing rooms. Quickly sliding it on, I come out and twirl around for Aubrey to see how it looks on me properly. "You look amazing." She smiled, and I looked in the mirror to see that, like Aubrey said, I looked amazing.

Luckily for me the price was below how much money mom gave me, leaving me with some to spare, so that was good. After that, I helped Aubrey looked for her dress, and then once she found the perfect one, we went shoe shopping, because, come on, you need the perfect shoes for a perfect dress.

When we finished shopping, Aubrey went back to her house and I went to mine. I decided to phone Xavier up because well, he really needed to ask Aubrey to the dance.

He picked up after two rings.

"Fuck!" He screamed, and I raised a brow.

"Uh, what now?"

"Sorry, I.. I just hurt myself." Xavier laughed nervously.

Right, cause I totally believed him. "Right... Well anyways, have you asked anyone to the dance yet?"

He scoffed. "No. I'm not even going to go." I could practically see him rolling his eyes.

"Oh you have to go. And you have to ask Aubrey to the dance as well." I smiled, not that he could see it anyways, but it was an instinct.
