It was about an hour and a half since they took Spencer. As much as Camila and I want to be with her, the doctor thinks us being there will corrupt the results. What a bunch of non-sense if you ask me.

"Camila you need to sit down. It's only a matter of time now." Camila was pacing back and forth and every five minutes would look up towards the hallway they took her down. "She should be back now right? It's been way to long, what if something happened or what if he took her away from me." She stopped pacing and looked at me.

"Mila just calm down and sit. She will be out soon." I got up out of my chair and took her arm, bringing her back to her seat. She sat down and brought her knees up to her chest and rested her head on them. Not saying a word. We all sat in silence for another 15 minutes until the doctor finally came out and was walking down the hallway. Camila shot up and raced forward meeting the doctor half way.

"How is she? Is she okay? What happened? How bad is it?" She was speaking a mile a minute.

"Camila slow down and let the doctor explain." He gave me a thankful look and I smiled back.

"So Spencer was given various stitches on her forehead. We also did a quick scan of her brain and she does have a mild concussion which resulted in the memory loss, but that should return in the next few weeks. None of the small scratches will leave any type of scaring except for the one on her forehead and hip because of how deep they were, also-"

"Wait, she has a cut along her hip? I didn't know that." Camila spoke and we both looked at each with wide eyes.

"Yes it isn't as bad as the one on her forehead and by the looks of the tissue it happened before her head injury. She does claim she doesn't remember where it came from but we can never be sure." He looks down at his chart and back at us.

"We also noticed a small sprain on her wrist but nothing major, if anything it's just an inconvenience to have so we put a small brace around it. But I would still be careful around it for now."

"Is that everything? Is she awake? Can we see her?" Camila's eyes darted from the doctor to the hallway waiting for answers. "Calm down hun, let him speak." I placed my hand on her shoulder to help calm her.

"We gave her some medication to help with her headaches, so right now she's asleep. We would like to keep her over night just to be safe. We did find minor swelling in the brain, which is why she had such a high fever. But luckily we were able to help in time and everything should be fine." He smiled. "You're more then welcome to go see her."

In that moment Camila took off down the hallway and straight into the room. I looked back over at the doctor and gave him a thankful smile and started walking down the hallway myself.

As I walked in I saw just how small Spencer's body is against the hospital bed. She was sleeping and it looked like she was going to drown in all the bed sheets. The steady beeping was heard through out the room along with soft snores. Camila didn't waste another second and was by her side holding Spencer's small hand in hers.

"Mila are you going to go home with us in a bit?" I asked worried. It's been a long time since we were home.

"Nope. I'm not going anywhere. I am going to stay by her side and I'm going to be the first person she sees when she wakes up, just like I promised." Her eyes never left Spencer. I walked over and placed a kiss on Spencer's forehead and sat down in the other chair.

"I'm going to text Normani and tell them the news." I took out my phone and started typing out the whole situation and how I would be home soon, without Camila.

"She looks so broken..." Camila trailed off and kissed her forehead. "What if she doesn't wake up?" Tears sprung to her eyes. I stood up and walked over to the other side of the bed where she was.

"Mila, you know she is going to wake up. She is just getting some rest. Which is what I think you need to do. We just got off a plane and haven't been home in weeks." I moved some hair out of her face and she looked up at me.

"Well, what's one more night? I can sleep tomorrow." She waved me off and turned her attention to Spencer once again.

"Okay fine. But promise me you will at least eat something tonight. I don't want you ending up in here with Spencer because you didn't eat anything." I gave her a strong look and she frowned.

"Fine I'll go grab something right now before you leave. Happy?" Her hint of sarcasm was evident and she left the room before I could retaliate. I looked back over at Spencer. She was sound asleep. The stitches on her forehead were pretty rough looking. For a 7 year old she is the bravest person I know. I can't imagine going through what she has. And on top of all of that she can't even remember how she ended up here. I sat down beside her and rubbed her arm soothingly.

"We're here now honey, nothing bad is going to happen to you anymore." I leaned down and whispered in her ear. "We promise."
