[I have to act like I don't care when I actually do.]
Jungkook's eyes coincides with those of Yuri's. Her eyes were trying to hope that scene wasn't what she thought it was. Her eyes held fear and Jungkook was afraid he was the reason for it.
"Jungkook?" She asked, her voiced cracking at the end, her voice doubting the boy she loved. She tried not to, she had full trust in the boy placed in front of her eyes. Her hope was placed on a string that could snap and break anytime but Jungkook wouldn't let that happen.
Jungkook got up from the mess, not bothering to look at Jimin. So, all Jimin did was lie there as he watched the drama that lay in front of his eyes.
In this situation, all three of them were afraid. Yuri feared that Jungkook was cheating on her. Jungkook feared that Yuri would misunderstand. While, Jimin feared being the reason of someone's tears and breakup.
"Y-Yuri, this isn't w-what it looks like. We just f-fell." Jungkook stuttered, looking at Jimin, his eyes pleaded for help, "Jimin, tell her what happened. It was an accident, right?"
Jimin stared at Jungkook as the boy was helplessly begging him, trying his best to make Yuri believe in him. "Y-yeah...we just fel-" Jimin choked on his own tears, trying his best to look down and not show his tears.
But no one noticed, no one cared...he didn't matter. He watched as Yuri ran into the wide open arms of Jungkook, the arms that he longed to be in.
So, he left them alone. Jimin gave them the space they needed, he couldn't destroy a perfect relationship. He was just a guest in this town that would leave after the clock strikes. He couldn't be selfish and break the couple apart.
"Oh, Jimin! I didn't know you were here." Jimin looked up to see Jin with Yoongi and Taehyung trailing behind. Taehyung clinging to Yoongi who kept pushing him away.
"Is Namjoon with you?" The voice spoke again and Jimin tried his best to keep his head down, stop his mouth from letting out whimpers as messy tears ran down his cheeks. Jimin shook his head and reached the front door but when he was about to turn the doorknob, he heard, "Yuri? Jungkook? Why was Jimin here?"
When Jimin thought of why he was here in the first place, he let out a sob that was audible. He put a hand on this mouth and ran outside, not caring if he slammed the door.
"Jimin!" As Jimin ran down the road, his fallen tears spread down his neck. He heard someone call him and he knew the deep voice but he couldn't turn, so he just ran. Ran until his legs grew tired and he had no idea where he was.
He silently hoped that Taheyung followed him till here because he was deeply lost. Those thoughts were displaced when he thought of Jungkook. Jimin was confused like a child.
It was the first time he felt like this. At first, he thought it was a measly crush that would barely last four days but this time, the situation was different. He felt weird when he was with the boy, he felt insecure yet safe. He felt jittery yet warm. He felt complete yet desiring for more.
But only one thought passed Jimin's mind: I am fucked up for sure!
"Jimin? Jimin?" He heard the deep voice of his friend again. "He-here..." Jimin spoke but surprisingly his voice was dry. He found it harder to speak each minute but looking at the concerned face of Taehyung, he felt relieved that someone actually cared about him.
"Jimin...thank goodness. You almost killed me with worry." Jimin was glad to see Taehyung, he felt happy that somone was there with him other than Namjoon. Jimin gave his friend a forced and weak smiled but Taehyung knew better that Jimin was faking it.
