Chapter 8: Soft Side

Daiki's POV

I woke up and stared at the ceiling wondering why it is much higher today. I quickly sat up to look at the clock but ended up feeling my head twisting in pain.

"AH! Ittai.. " I groaned before massaging my temples.

I look around the room wondering why the walls are painted different. I blinked and saw a glass of water and a medicine at the bedside table. Moving slowly to sit at the edge, I get it and drink it to ease the pain I was feeling inside my head.

I look around the room using my eyes wondering why the room is so neat. As I check if I still have my clothes on, I try to remember what happened last night and how I ended up to this unknown room.

"Oh.. you're awake." Someone suddenly said.

"Are you feeling okay now?" Someone, more like Takaki said.

"No not really. I feel like my head is spinning". I said before finally looking at the clock at the wall.

13:00

Eh? It's afternoon already. How many hours did I actually slept?

"You slept late already. Pfft." Takaki said, and suddenly snorted making me raise an eyebrow.

"What's funny?" I said annoyed.

"I didn't know seeing you drunk is such an entertainment... penguin." Takaki laughed almost holding his stomach.

"HUH?!" I yelled making my head aches again.

I decided to close my eyes and massages my temples again.

Ahh.. this is so painful. I didn't know drinking more than 3 glasses of cocktail would make me drunk..

I glared at Takaki when I suddenly remembered what happened last night before I got drunk.

"Oi. Why am I here? You could've just brought me home straight you know." I said.

"Tss. Do you think your mother would be happy to see his son going home in the middle of the night drunk? Seriously?" He said.

I realized that he has a point so I decided to not argue anymore. I sighed.

"I'm going home." I announced before standing up fixing my hair.

"You don't want to eat breakfast here?" He asked looking at me.

"I'm still fu--" I didn't finished my sentence when suddenly my stomach growls loudly just enough to make me blushed in embarrassment in front of him.

Takaki just chuckled standing up also. I looked down and tried to hide my blush using my bangs.

"Hora, you are hungry. So you should eat first. Don't worry I messaged your Mom earlier and said sorry. She said it's okay. I actually made a story and thankfully she believed. I did that, so you won't get scolded.. chibi penguin." He said with a smirk.

I was about to yelled at him at how he ended his sentence but I got speechless when he suddenly hold my hand pulling me dowstairs to their kitchen maybe. I don't know why but somehow it feels comfortable.

Yuya's POV

I pulled him downstairs making him sit at the dining area where eggs, bacons and breads are served.

"I cooked it all, I hope you would like it." I said before sitting beside him.

I noticed he looks at the food first before slowly getting an egg and bacons. I heared how he mumbled a soft 'itadakimasu' before eating the food that he gets.

I somehow smile a little and eats as well. This is what I am proud of, I can cook fried foods even though I lack at the talent of baking.

I look at him from time to time while I eat also.

"After this can I already go home?" He suddenly spoke.

"Of course. I will drive you home." I said without smirking since I am much comfortable to be open about my soft side. Especially, that I realized last night I already developed romantic feelings for this penguin beside me right now.

I actually didn't sleep that much. After I closed my eyes last night. My mind keep on thinking about Daiki. I just only got few naps all night. When I woke up I will bend down to Daiki's face to softly kiss his chubby cheeks.

I don't know why, but seeing how angelic he is and cute he is while sleeping makes me want to protect him instead of causing harm to him. I may not like men before romantically but seeing an innocent boy like him trigger something inside me.

I probably daze off because I just gotten into my senses when the chibi penguin called me by my surname.

"Takaki, i'm full. Please drive me home. My mother surely is worried as to why I am still not home." He said before standing up.

"Alright." I stand up too getting my car key wearing my jacket and letting him wear his pants and polo. I get out the house to go to my car motioning for Daiki to get inside the passenger seat.

He is probably still dizzy because he almost bump his head on the car door and closes his eyes tight. I blinked but quickly runs to the other side seating at the driver's seat before turning on the engine.

The whole ride was quiet. I did not bother to tease him about how he acted last night, instead I let him have quietness while I drive. I stopped in front of his house and I noticed how he quickly unbuckled the seatbelt opening the passenger door. But I stopped him from doing that by holding his arm pulling him so I could kiss his chubby cheek once more. I smiled softly for the first time to him and pat his head after.

"Kiotsukete ne?" I said before letting him stepped out the car before I drive home after.

Daiki's POV

I hold my cheek where he kissed me following his car by my gaze until I can't see it anymore.

I'm... speechless. What was that just now...?
