Chapter 11
I woke up and emerged from my pile of blankets yawning I ran a hand through my tangled hair feeling strangely at peace. I walked out of the warehouse cautiously and enjoyed the sunshine letting it hit my pale skin I wandered around most of the day had to hide a couple times. It wasn't fun for me I thought at one point I had an out I was In an alleyway and saw a fleet of Seamus's soldiers and stepped out to see if they could help a couple seemed to have seen me but I thought twice I didn't know how many of his army would actually know who I was and I didn't want to be shot or anything so I climbed up a small shed roof and over they kept going. I thought about my next move I was still debating on whether finding a way to contact Seamus I quickly decided against it I had to survive that was my priority now my survival. He would either find me or leave me that was the bottom line. I knew the latter was possible he is invading a large country a teenage girl would be the last thing on his mind. I jumped off the roof and right on a chinese soldier ah shit. His buddy turned around
"Hey you girl!" I got up and started to run I pushed through crowds and risked getting hit by vehicles he must have called for reinforcements as he probably found out I'm currently wanted in china. I had three on my tail and I was starting to get tired before I remembered when I was running from that tiger if I wanted to live I had to keep going I ran until I rounded a corner and lost them but ran and ducked behind a car. I waited for a few minutes before straightening and glanced around I probably looked paranoid but anyone else would feel the same way. I looked down and found a coin I grinned and picked it up went to a nearby shop and got a water and drank it slowly paid and left. I walked a bit more and went back to my warehouse where I found some imperishable items I searched for something specific and smiled when I found them... Peaches yum I had also found a crowbar so I had a weapon and a tool and got into the can and ate slowly after I counted my rations I had enough for a few weeks. The door creaked open I stood and held the crowbar tighter I moved to a dark corner my breathing sped up and my heart raced. I saw shadows closed my eyes and swung when I opened them I saw a chinese soldier on the ground with a gash and one staring open mouthed at me. He spoke
"Put it down girl and nothing happens here" his english was amazing but I held my crowbar out towards him the way one would a sword I have never handled a sword but I was sure I could use this effectively
"Not gonna happen" I said tightly. He laughed and reached for his gun but pulled a knife I tilted my head in confusion he laughed again.
"To give you a fair chance" he said clearly amused. I grinned stupid idiot time to see if my brother teaching me how to fight paid off I waited for him he waited until he lunged. I ducked and swept his legs with mine he fell I got up and swung for his stomach he rolled and nicked my leg I hissed and ended it by swinging to his head he fell next to his buddy.
"Thanks for the chance" I said flatly before walking out of the warehouse and disappearing into the shadows.
