Chapter Eleven ~Finding Out~

Sans' P.O.V.~

Panic flooded my mind as I sat up quickly, my eye glowing brightly. Looking around, I felt something was off. No, I knew something was off. Looking to the bed next to me, I saw the dress (Y/n) was wearing laying there, but she was no where to be seen.

I stood up, looking around the room I was in. A box was in the corner, some objects resting next to it.  My left hand began to glow as my breathing hitched.

(Y/n) left.

Teleporting, I start looking around Snowdin, silently hoping that she might have come somewhere familiar.  If she remembered.

The grim thought made me freeze mid-step. My eyes lowered to see very visible boot prints in the snow. I inhale sharply, following the prints as fast as my legs would take me.

Soon, I ended up near the school, seeing a cave in one of the rocky walls. The steps led into them as they soon disappeared.

I inspected the edges of the cave, seeing burns and large cracks in them, making me shake. She used a Gaster Blaster. At least, if this was her like I suspected. Carefully, I step into the cavernous area, using my psychokinesis to light my way down until I saw a lab.

"What the hell?" I ask myself, looking around, seeing (Y/n) on the floor, passed out.

I lifted her in my arms, pulling her as close to me as I could, looking around to see a mirror across the room. The crazy part was that I was holding a human girl instead of the wolf I had in my arms.

My eyes scanned the room up and down, seeing a file on the ground next to me. Taking it, I used my psychokinesis to flip through the pages, quickly skimming the words written down.

"S-Sans?" her soft voice interrupted, making me look down to meet her (e/c) eyes.

Smiling, I hug her, feeling a tear roll down from my eye socket. "You're okay! What the hell were you thinking, (Y/n)?"

Her ears folded back, her eyes showing nothing but confusion. "What did I do? Where are we? What am I wearing?"

"What?" my voice came out in a hushed voice, looking at her with relief and confusion. "You mean you don't remember anything about your past?"

She shook her head, pushing her head into my chest, shutting her eyes again. "What I don't remember won't hurt anyone, right? I don't see anything wrong with it anymore."

Sighing, I lift her up, taking the file with me. I needed to know what happened back then.

Walking into the house, I head upstairs, walking into my room. (Y/n) was snoring softly in my arms, her arms curled over her chest. Chuckling softly at her, I placed her on my bed, covering her with my blankets before heading back downstairs to read.

Time Skip~

Horror filled my mind as I finished the entire file. So many thoughts ran through my mind, but non of the questions I wanted answers to could ever be answered.

(Y/n) has the soul of a human. Her natural body allows her to have magic like mine. Her mind has insanity in it because of the LOVE she earned. The soul is trying to make her forget. I've never heard of a soul ever doing that. Hell, I didn't think it was even possible to change a human and a monster soul.

My hands covered my eyes, my breath becoming shuddery. "How many more will it take before you're really gone? How many lives is this experiment worth?"

"Sans, what are you talking about?" Papyrus' voice asked from the stairs, making me jump.

Sighing, I rub the back of my head. "Heh, shouldn't do that to me, Pap. You nearly made me jump out of my skin." He groaned, but let me continue. "It's nothing, though. Just thinking."

He sat beside me, patting my shoulder. "What's troubling you, Brother? Is it your girlfriend?"

"It's what happened to her that makes me troubled. She... hurt a few monsters in her past. How much LOVE has she earned? How long until she turns on us?" I say mindlessly, forgetting it was my brother I was talking to.

Still, Papyrus sighed. "I don't know what that means, but you shouldn't have to worry. I can see she cares about you and you care for her. You wouldn't let her forget about any of us."

A frown had been on my face, my sockets closed. When he said that, I looked at him and smiled, pulling him into a hug. "Thanks, Bro. I needed that."

He nodded, heading back upstairs to get back to bed, leaving me on the couch.

Sighing, I laid back, shutting my eyes again, falling asleep.
