Back in my shell

Against thick handmade samurai swords

Laughter plays its chords

A part in this heart where before

was infrequent or didn't exist at all

I crawl

Back in my shell

where unplanted seeds grow into breathing trees

a beautiful conch

melody spilling of the sea

life inside

luminous

surface is death

disconsolate

complex

spider web over spider web

words build up a sand castle

by same words knocked down

1 side militant for common ground

to some folks invaluable treasures seem indifferent

thought of you over a pale blue sky, gentle wind

more than significant

storm clouds over the horizon

colors seem brighter, vivid, more brilliant

I'll crawl where I excel

where life seems exciting & worthwhile

Back in my shell
