Tessa ran after Will, towards the Lightwood Mansion, barely standing up straight. She could barely walk in these heels, and now she had to run in them. Her mind was still racing from Will's confession, and her own. He loved her. He actually loved her. And she loved him. But they couldn't be together. Just the thought made Tessa feel sick to her stomach.

They both reached the house in a few minutes, to see that Isabelle had quickly cleared everyone out. Tessa wondered how she had managed to do that so quickly. Tessa and Will hid behind a bush, and peered out of the side. A bunch of people in black hoodies stood in front of everyone, holding guns. Tessa gulped.

"Guns." Will whispered. "We need guns."

"Where are we going to get them?" Tessa whispered harshly.

"Follow me." Will said, walking away from them.

Tessa followed him quietly, and stopped when Will walked into the shed on the side of the house. Tessa gingerly followed him inside, and watched as he lifted up one of the floor boards, and produced two hand guns. Tessa's eyes widened.

"How did you know they were there?" She asked.

"Isabelle showed us these awhile ago. Just in case anything happened." Will handed her one of the guns. "Here."

She slowly took the gun from him, and eyed it.

"We're not actually going to kill them, are we?" She asked.

"Only if we have to." Will said.

He then walked out of the shed, and Tessa followed him. They walked quietly back towards everyone, and hid behind the bush. Well, Tessa did. Will only casually walked up to everyone else, twirling the gun in his hand, looking bored. Tessa swore and followed him. Will stopped in front of Sebastian.

"How nice of you to join us, William." Sebastian grinned.

Will only stared at him, stonily, and Sebastian moved his gaze over to Tessa. His grin became wider.

"I knew she was your newest recruit." He said. "And how pretty she is."

Sebastian moved forward, and tucked a strand of Tessa's brown hair behind her ear. Beside her, she saw Will clench his jaw. Tessa held up the gun to Sebastian's forehead, knowing though that she could never actually pull the trigger.

Sebastian laughed. "Feisty, aren't you? That must be why you like her so much, isn't it, Will?"

"Why are you here?" Jace growled.

"I need money." Sebastian turned away from Tessa, sounding casual. "And I figured my Izzy could lend me some."

"I'm not your Izzy, anymore." Isabelle snapped, glaring fiercely. "And there's no way in hell I'm giving you anything."

Sebastian moved very close in front of Isabelle, and smirked at her. Though, there something that sparked in his eyes when he looked at her. Tessa thought that it was love. Did they used to have something? She thought.

"You always were quite stubborn." Sebastian whispered, smirking.

Isabelle only glared at him, though Tessa saw her eyes soften the slightest bit.

"Have you missed me?" He breathed.

"No." Isabelle retorted.

"Really? I've missed you." Sebastian whispered.

He and Isabelle stared at each other for a few seconds, and then Sebastian seemed to snap out of it.

"I've heard that you've all stolen something of mine." He stepped away from Isabelle. "And I want it back."

"We have nothing of yours." Clary spoke fiercely.

"Lies." Sebastian replied. "But fine I'll give you time to think about it. If I don't get it back, you'll all pay the price."

He then motioned for everyone else to follow him, and then Sebastian was gone. Tessa sighed in relief, and lowered her gun. Everyone looked okay, but Isabelle was pale. Simon had his hand on her shoulder. Clary sidled up to Tessa.

"She used to date Sebastian." Clary spoke quietly, looking at Isabelle. "They were in love. Then he started getting into bad things and she left him. This was her first time in a long time, seeing him. No matter how much she loves Simon, there's still a part of her that still cares for Sebastian."

Tessa felt surprise run through her. Isabelle and Sebastian? It was hard to believe.

"We all used to be best friends with him." Clary sighed. "Especially him and Jace."

Everyone walked up to Tessa and Clary, and Isabelle seemed to be back to normal. Tessa avoided looking at Will, though she felt his eyes on her.

"You guys can all just stay the night here, if you want. My parents are out of town." Isabelle said, sounding a bit weak.

Cecily frowned at her. "Are you sure you're okay, Izzy?"

Isabelle forced a smile. "Yeah, I'm fine. It was just shocking seeing him after all of this time."

Tessa looked down and saw that she was digging her fingernails into her palm.

"I -- I'm going to bed, now." She mumbled. "Just take any room you guys want."

Isabelle then turned around and walked away, and Simon trailed after her, looking worried.

Cecily sighed. "She's definitely not okay."

"I don't expect her to be. She loved him. Too much, probably." Clary sounded sad.

Without helping it, Tessa's eyes flew over to Will. He was already looking at her, and Tessa felt a wave of pain rush through her. She tore her eyes away from him, not baring to look at him any longer. She felt tears well in her eyes, knowing that they could never be together. Never in her life, had she felt like this.

"I'm going to bed, too." Tessa mumbled.

She quickly walked away from them, just as the first tear fell down her cheek. She numbly walked up the stairs and walked into the nearest bedroom. Tessa locked the door, and then started to cry properly. She threw herself down onto the large bed, and cried. She cried until she could cry no more, her mascara running down her cheeks.

God, Tessa thought as she sat on the bed, numbly. What have you done to me, Will?"
