(Trevor)

"Danny, where are the drinks?" I yelled from the basement.

"Relax, I'm coming!" He sighed.

Danny and I are cousins; we grew up together, more like brothers if you ask me. We were having guy night, so we invited our group, plus today Eric is supposed to come back to town.

"Is he here yet?" I grumbled trying to stuff my mouth with chips.

"I see a truck outside, so we should head over."

We climbed up the stairs and out the door. Danny looked a little too excited for his own good. He was practically jumping up and down waiting for the door to open.

"Why are you so happy?" His faced paled, and he instantly frowned.

"I'm not."

"You clearly are. Who is it?"

"Jamie." He whispered, his cheeks turn slightly red. My heart pulled at the mention of her name. I quickly dismissed the feeling and erupted into laughter.

"You have thing for her?"

Just as he was about to reply the door flew open to a woman with brown, shoulder length hair. She looked about mid-thirties. I remembered her well even though the many years have passed.

"Ms. Cathy!" I smiled. Her eyes widen, and her mouth did as well.

"Wow! Danny and Trevor! You boys are all grown up and handsome too!" She gestured us to come in.

"It's great to see you again." Danny smiled. "Is Eric here?"

"He should be in his room, or outside with Jamie." There goes that pull in my chest again. I wonder what she looks like now. Did she still wear those two pigtail braids? I thought to myself. "Are you guys hungry? I could make something."

"No thanks, we are actually having this guy night with food at the house."

"Alright, and tell your mom that tomorrow is great for dinner." I nodded and started to walk to the back door. I looked out the glass and saw the figure of a curvy girl. She had long brown hair that stuck to her back in the black one piece that seemed that only she could make look sexy. Her back was to me as she wrapped the towel around her body.

"Wow...Jamie looks amazing." Danny whispered. I almost forgot he was behind me. She turned around and I was shocked at her beauty. Her dark chocolate eyes, and pink lips, he face was captivating. Someone cleared their throat, snapping me out of my daze. I turned to see a very confused Eric.

"I hope you guys weren't looking at my sister." He glared. I laughed and walked over to him.

"Eric! Long time no see!" I could tell he knew I was trying to change the subject, but luckily he let it slide.

"I know! It's been too long. Danny, how are you doing with the new family and all?"

Danny hesitated at first but put on a sad smile. "It's okay...different."

"By different-he meant Damon." I grumbled.

Damon. Danny's step brother, if a label is actually needed. Danny's mom, Aunt Jasmine remarried last year, and now he had to live with Damon, a sorry excuse of a human as I like to call him. Damon had no heart. He was vicious and had no idea of the real meaning of family or friendship.
