Chapter 8: The Song That Changed It All

I sighed and made my way to the studio.  Julian sat us down at a round table and smiled, handing us all sheet music to.. MY SONG! I am so excited.  He sure did the entire arrangement fast.  "Well ladies, your search for the new song you need is now over because Camila wrote one and it's actually quite good." he smiled.  Everyone looked at me a little surprised and looked over the words:

Tuesday made me feel stupid
Wednesday the world was ours
Thursday you didn’t prove it

It's so strange how the same thing

It's about how Lauren keeps changing her mind about how she wants to treat me.  I'm staying the same, her opinion just fluctuates. A lot! And it drives me insane.

We record a little one at a time, just as a practice, there is no way we know this all yet.  After we all finish Julian sits us down to talk to us about how pretty the song sounded and the process for recording the rest of our music will be like.

I watched Lauren read the lyrics of my song over and over.  Rage grew on her face as she threw the lyrics on the table.  I couldn't take it anymore, to deal with it I just left the building.  I went out the back entrance letting the cool breeze hit my face.  Soon after I heard the door swing open and shut again.  Lauren flew out of it towards me.

"Who Is He?!" She demanded.

"Who's who?" I questioned.

"The boy! They boy you wrote this about!" She looked like tears were about to overflow.  "You didn't tell me you had a love interest?  You didn't tell me you had a boyfriend!" She took a step closer, getting angry.

"I didn't write it about a boy," I nearly whispered.

"We're supposed to be best friends! How do you expect me to-" I cut her off.  Assuming this was as good of a time as any, I grabbed her face and smashed our lips together.

I kissed her.  I kissed Lauren Jauregui.  I just lip locked with my best friend.  My first kiss.  I can't believe I kissed her.

She pulled away and her eyes widened in shock.   "I wrote it about you.." I whispered looking at my feet.

"I love you," I managed to mumble then I ran away from her; away from my feelings.

I still can't believe I kissed her...
