"Let's go Julian!" I yelled, closing my eyes and opening the locker room door. You know, just in case. I shut the door and crossed my arms, tapping my foot impatiently. Julian came out about ten minutes later. I grabbed his hand and dragged him to the Beamer. He locked the doors and we got going. I looked at him.
"Alright Squirrel, I have an idea. We're gonna steal Danny, Rob, and Tom's blankets. We need to get home ASAP!"
Julian snorted at me.
"You are ridiculous."
"I know I am. How about we get dinner first?" I suggested. He nodded and shrugged.
"Yeah. Why not. We'll go get a salad," he said, shrugging.
"No!" I exclaimed. "It's not gonna kill you to get McDonalds once in your life!"
"But we need to eat healthily!" Julian whined. I crossed my arms.
"No. You're going to eat a cheeseburger."
"I do love burgers," he pondered.
"Julian, I swear, I will make you drive to McDonalds."
"Fine. Fine fine fine. I'll drive to damn McDonalds. Ugh!" he exclaimed. I grinned.
"Thank you Jules!"
We kept driving and he turned.
"Welcome to McDonalds what can I get for you today?"
"I'll have two Root Beers, a Diet Coke, a Sprite, and a Ginger Ale. I'll also have three double cheeseburger meals, and five jumbo fries."
"...is that it?" the operator asked.
"No, I'll have five salads as well please."
"Will that be all?"
"Yes," Julian replied. I stared at him, dumbfounded.
"$32.43 at the window, please."
Julian drove up, and I kept staring at him, dumbfounded. He paid and got the food. He turned to me, grinning.
"All until the salads," I said. He laughed and we drove to the houses. The others still weren't back. Julian looked at me.
"I have a sick idea," he said, grinning.
"Sick like awesome sick, or sick like disgusting and twisted sick?" I asked. He grinned.
"More awesome than anything. You ready?" he asked. I nodded eagerly.
"Alright, do you have paint?"
"Alright. Well do you have a bucket?"
"Um, yeah. Why?"
"Well," Julian grinned, "why don't we do the old bucket of paint above the door frame?" I shrugged and opened the door to our house.
"Why not? Can you rig it?" I asked. He nodded, putting the McDonalds on his bed.
"Will you go grab me the bucket?" he asked. I nodded and went into our prank supply pantry, getting a bucket, paint, and syrup. I brought them to Julian.
"Are these good?" I asked.
"Yes they are," he said, grinning. We put the blue paint in the bucket, along with the syrup.
"Alright, I have another idea. I can get tape and put it on the back of the faucet, so when it gets turned on it'll spray whoever turned it on," I said, grinning. Julian nodded and we highfived. We went over to the Salamander house, and Julian rigged it on the front door by standing on one of their beds. I took care if the faucets, then we went back to our house. Tom, Danny, and Rob entered our house.
"Hey Julian," Rob greeted. He looked at me and smiled. "Hello coach," he said playfully. I stuck out my tongue.
"Hey. Jules and I went to McDonalds and got some food. Take what you like," I said. I took one of the two Root Beers along with a salad. Rob took the Diet Coke and a jumbo fry. Tom took a jumbo fry and a cheeseburger, along with the other Root Beer. Danny had a double cheeseburger and a fry with the Ginger Ale. Julian took the last double cheeseburger and the Sprite. I put the remaining salad in the fridge for tomorrow.
"So," I asked, taking a forkful of salad, "how was practice?"
Rob, Danny, and even Tom glared at me.
"You were brutal!" Danny exclaimed.
"You were mediocre," I replied. "If you hadn't been mediocre, I wouldn't have been oh so brutal."
"That's cold!" Tom said, taking a mouthful of fries. I looked at Julian.
"You don't hear Julian complaining!"
Julian looked frightened.
"Don't bring me into this!" he pleaded. I laughed.
"Anyway, how was the rest of practice?" I asked.
"Pretty good, I guess," Rob said, shrugging. I nodded.
"That's good. That's good. So...what time is it?" I asked, looking around for a clock.
"Uh...wow, it's 8:00," Tom said, yawning.
"Woah. So...it's supposed to be a nice night tonight, so I think we can forego starting the fires, ok?"
"Yuperooni!" Danny exclaimed, grinning. I rolled my eyes.
"Alright, you guys, I think we should go to bed kinda early because we have practice tomorrow. Don't you agree?" I asked. Tom nodded.
"C'mon Salamanders," Tom said, yawning. Rob shook his head.
"I'll be over in a little while. Goodnight guys," Rob said. Tom and Danny left. I looked at Rob and narrowed my eyes.
"Why didn't you go over?" I asked suspiciously.
"Because I saw you and Julian setting up some sort of...device," he said. "I didn't feel like being covered in paint and syrup."
"How'd you know?" I asked, gaping at him. He smirked.
"I got here about the same time you did, but you didn't see me. So I just kinda spied on you," he replied, shrugging. Then I heard the other two scream and Julian, Rob, and I laughed.
