3rd POV
Obi-wan sat in his chair. Ezra standing in the middle, all eyes staring into his soul. They studied his new clothes and appearance. Watched as the teen Padawan was now a young adult. Ezra looked at Master Yoda, the one that will speak about him. Along with Master Kenobi and the other Jedi Masters."Found once again, Ezra Bridger has," Yoda filled the silence.
"Master Yoda," Ezra greeted. He didn't know what to say. With all the ears of Jedi Masters hearing his every word was enough to make someone stutter. "I apologize for disappearing for two years. That was a foolish of me to do."
"Yet, returned you have. Face your mistakes, you want."
"Tell us Ezra, why did leave?" Master Kenobi inquired. Ezra was about to answer until Obi-wan kept going. "Why would you hide for two years when you clearly had many chances to return to Coruscant?"
"I guess after the incident that happened, I assumed that Council would have lowered my rank. That I were to be given less missions," Ezra spoke clearly.
"Oh, Ezra. That wouldn't have happened. You would have still continued your training and kept your rank as commander," Master Windu told him. Ezra didn't like disappointing his Master. That's why he followed his orders, sometimes. "You've made many mistakes in the past and you will make many more. But, you shouldn't let them hold you back. Remember, you learn from your mistakes."
"I understand Master Windu."
The room was silent for a solid two minutes. Anticipation filled Ezra. He didn't want a new Master. He didn't want to finish the Jedi Trials when he was older than twenty. By the age of twenty, most Padawan's would have finished and become a Jedi Knight.
"So, what now? We have to decide if he should continue training with Master Windu," Master Fisto questioned.
"We were planning on assigning you to another Jedi. Like Master Secura," Master Koon quietly announced. Ezra swiftly glanced at Aayla Secura. She was going to get an apprentice herself a few months back but, their were no Padawan's to teach. Only younglings. She smiled ever so slightly.
"Not to be disrespectful but, I can't be her apprentice," Ezra believed.
When Ezra was a youngling, he always wanted a Master like Plo Koon, Kit Fisto, Obi-wan Kenobi or Aayla Secura. Someone that was able to get rid of his Dark Side. But when he became Padawan of Mace Windu, that changed his mind. He found out he could balance both.
"Pardon?" Obi-wan asked. He knew what he said, he just wanted to make sure he ment it.
"I can't be her apprentice, I'm sorry. It doesn't mach up. I know you've been trying to earase the Dark Side in me but, no matter how hard you try, it won't leave. Believe me, I've tried. The Dark Side is within me. That's why I need a Master that can teach me how to control both," Ezra confessed. He held his breath, waiting if they would say something.
Master Secura had something to say, "I agree. We must have Master Windu be his teacher."
The Jedi eyeballed one another. They all nodded. He had a point, he can't let go of the Dark Side.
"Very well. Ezra Bridger, you will continue to be the apprentice of Master Windu," Shaak Ti. Ezra smiled and bowed.
"Thank you."
"Go to the infirmary, you will. Train once more, tomorrow," Yoda dismissed him. He nodded once and left.
Anakin and Ahsoka were waiting outside the doors. Wanting to know if Master Windu will keep his old Padawan.
"Ezra, how'd it go?" Ahsoka stopped leaning.
"Well. I will still be the apprentice of Master Windu," Ezra said, happily. They congratulated him.
