Chapter 34

Alice P.O.V.

The next morning I woke up and had a feeling something strange was up. I put on a pair of sweatpants and one of Deans hoodies. I crept downstairs slowly and entered the kitchen. Immediately I was tackled. My instincts kicked in and I started punching and kicking. I socked someone in the jaw and kicked another person in the stomach. They rolled over and groaned. That's when I realized I wasn't being ambushed and It was just Sam and Dean. Kevin and Charlie were laughing in the corner as I scrambled to my feet.

"Are you okay?!" I said as I stood above the boys

I could already see a bruise forming on Deans cheek.

"Just peachy," Dean replied as both the boys stood up

"We told you not to attack her," Kevin said as he caught his breath from all the laughter

"What the hell was that for?" I demanded

"Happy Birthday," Sam wheezed, still clutching his stomach

"What?" I asked, shocked

"It's your birthday Bruce Lee," Dean remarked

Kevin and Charlie came from behind me. Kevin wrapped his arm around my shoulders.

"Happy Birthday," Kevin and Charlie said in unison

"Thanks, I guess," I replied

"What do you mean by 'I guess'?" Charlie's eyes narrowed at me

"I never celebrate my birthday," I said quickly

"Why not?" Dean asked

"I usually just get a 'happy birthday' message, Finnick buys me a cupcake, and we get the day off," I shrug

"Where is Finnick?" I ask worriedly

"I don't know, we haven't seen him since Grants Pass," Sam replied

"We have to find him!" I said as my eyes teared up

"Don't worry,"Kevin said as he saw my face," We'll find him."

I quickly pulled out my phone and dialed his number.

"Hey Alice! Happy birthday!" Finnick answered

"Finnick! Where are you?!" I said, relieved

"I'm still in Grants Pass, where are you?" He said

"Elko, Nevada, come quick, okay?" I answered

"Sure, I'll be there as soon as possible," he agreed

"Ok, bye, see you soon," I said

"Bye, love you," he replied

"Love you too, bye," I finished, then ended the call

I looked up to see everyone staring at me and Dean's jaw was stiffened.

"What?" I asked, extremely confused

"We didn't know you have a thing with Finnick," Charlie said smirking

They thought I was dating Finnick. That's why Dean was mad.

"What? No!" I screeched

"Then what was that?" Sam asked, getting protective

"What was what?" I asked

"You said 'love you too' on the phone," Kevin explained

I sighed.

"Guys, no, we're friends, strictly friends, it was friend 'i love you'. Like, I love all of you guys," I cleared up

There was a collection of "ohhhh"s after I said that.

"So you're not dating?" Sam asked, wanting to make sure

"No, we're not dating, I like someone else," As soon as I said that I regretted my words and slapped my hand over my mouth

"Oh my gosh! Who is it?!" Charlie squealed like a preteen girl

I blushed and out of the corner of my eye I could see Dean blush as well.

"Uh, nobody," I quickly stammered

"C'mon Alice! Tell us!" Charlie begged

"I, uh, have to go," I said as I dashed past everyone and slid on my converse

"Bye!" I yelled as I shut the door behind me

I started walking away, into town, when I realized I forgot my phone.

"Dammit," I muttered to myself

Instinctively, I headed into a bar. I sat down against the counter.

"Shot of vodka," I said to the bartender

He slid me my shot, and I instantly gulped it down.

"Another two rounds,"I ordered

As before, I chugged my shots down instantly. I would've went for another drink but, I was pulled outside.

"What the-?" I began as I was dragged outside

I was about to throw a punch when I felt A large object being hit on the back of my head. Instantly, I slumped to the ground. Then, I blacked out.
