~Eight months later~

It was a hard pregnancy. The mother was depressed and didn't have enough to eat.

Labored cries filled the neighborhood. It was filled with pain- not only from the labor but also from the loss of the husband. Of grief and of sorrow.

The babies were finally born: in the middle of a thunderstorm. The mother gasped, 'William...' Another gasp and the baby fell out. It was a girl. And the moment it took its first breath, 'Clarissa....' and she fell limp, closing her eyes and went into a slumber she'd never wake again.

The Factionless mourned her, but what they did not know was that two lovers watched doubly over them.

Katherine smiled, her blond hair glistening like gold in the sunlight. 'It had a long time, but at last we meet again.' Andrew, the injuries from his death gone, smiled equally as radiant, replied, 'As it was destined to be.' She sighed. 'What a cruel twist of fate.' Andrew comforted her, 'But we met, didn't we? You were the best part of my life.' 'So were you.'

And they joined hands, watching over the world they left behind.
