Spending almost the entire day in a carnival will leave any person exhausted, and yes Jeongguk was not saved from this exhaustion. After doing his nightly routines before going to bed, here he is, currently just sprawled on his day. A smile is still painted on his features as happenings from earlier come flooding his mind. After their date, Jimin dropped him off in his apartment, albeit with much reluctance. Plenty of convincing happened but in the end, Jimin just agreed to Jeongguk wanting to stay in his room. They will still meet tomorrow anyway.
He really is just so in love with Jimin, and is glad that the older is back despite it still hard to believe. He will do anything just to make the older stay, and never let circumstances or anyone separate him from Jimin. He swears this to himself.
A beep resonates in the room, snapping Jeongguk from his thoughts. He takes his phone from his nightstand, curious as to who would message him at this ungodly hour. Jimin already said his goodnight messages earlier, saying that he really is tired, so who could it be? Looking at the screen, it was as if the past is once again creeping up on him. Deja vu. The same number that sent him the video of Jimin being tortured is once again shown on his phone, making chills run up his spine. Cold sweat was immediately felt by Jeongguk upon seeing this.
Even though forgiveness already happened between the two already, Jeongguk can't help but still be terrified. Both have agreed that they will just remain civil, Jeongguk not knowing how he can deal with seeing the face that has once killed the love of his life. Taehyung promised that nothing would happen like that again but he can't help but still be fearful. What if history repeats itself again? Taking multiple deep breaths, he calms himself as he opens the message with shaking fingers. He really hopes that what he dreads the most will not happen.
Fortunately, only a text message greets him. "Can we meet at the Serendipity Cafe tomorrow after your classes? I need to talk to you about something very important." An internal conflict happens, Jeongguk considering if he should go and meet Taehyung because what if it really is something important? But what if it really is just a trap? What if something would happen again?
He settles with the thought that he should go, and hear Taehyung out. Nothing would happen, he reassures himself. He decides to not tell Jimin about his decision, doesn't want to worry the older anymore. He could just make an excuse tomorrow that a group project will be done in the cafe. With this, he goes to sleep, really dreading for what will happen tomorrow.
