CHAPTER TWENTY FIVE: "I GOT YOU"
He loosened the hold that he had on her, turned her around and wrapped his arms around her once again. Only this time his back was against hers.
She sighed and covered his hands with hers and closed her eyes while leaning further into his chest.
"These lips can't wait to taste your skin" he said before placing a kiss on her cheek.
He started swaying them left to right.
"And these eyes can't wait to see your grin" he continued.
He caught her smile in the reflection but she did not open her eyes. He felt corny as hell but seeing her smile was worth it. When he started singing the rest of the song, she immediately opened her eyes.
"Just let my love
Let my love adorn you
You gotta know
You gotta know
Know that I adore you"
She turned around in his embrace and gave him a pleasantly surprised look.
"I didn't know that you could sing" she said.
He moved his head closer hers and pecked her lips.
"There's a lot you don't know about me Miss Parker but I promise if you stick around the learning experience will be well worth it" he winked at her.
She wrapped her arms around his neck "I am looking forward to each and every one of those experiences" she whispered in his ear and kissed him back on his cheek.
Before he could say or do something, she ducked under his arm and escaped his embrace.
"Come back girl, I was just about to give you an experience" he protested.
She shook her head and moved backwards.
"I think I have experienced more than enough of your bad body odor." Azania burst out laughing when DeAndre started smelling himself.
She started running but he finally caught up with her in the kitchen and pinned her against the kitchen counter.
"I'm sorry but the look on your face was priceless" she chuckled.
"We are not even dating for a minute and already here you are trying to break a brother down" he pouted.
"I was just messing with you and you know that you smell good. I could get lost in your embrace for days."
"Look at my bae getting all poetic on me" he cheesed. "You forgot the part that I look good."
"Boy please" Azania fanned him.
"What? Don't you think that I look good?"
"You know that you look good. I just don't want to fuel the fire of vanity only for you to become self-absorbed and shallow."
"Do you see this shirt, these pants, these shoes?" he asked pulling her close. "When I was getting dressed all I could think about was you. Will you like what I am wearing, will you like the way that I smell? Girl I even combed my beard for you" he joked. "But seriously, I don't care about some random Beckys. It's all about my woman appreciating the effort that I put into looking good. For her. I would rather hear you telling me that I look good instead of any other woman out there in the world."
"So are you telling me that you wore a shirt two sizes too small just for me?"
"Jaaaaaaaa!" he replied returning her smile and flexing his muscles. "I want you to know that I can handle each and every one of those those curve" he said before picking her up and putting her on the counter. He stood between her legs and placed his hands on either side of her frame.
