21. Peppa Pig Numbers!

It is a school day for Peppa and her friends.

"Children, today we will be learning all about numbers," said Madame Gazelle as she tapped the black board with her stick.

"Does anybody know what numbers are for?" Asked Madame Gazelle.

"Are numbers for counting?" Said Peppa as she raised her hand and stood up.

"Yes Peppa, who would like to do some counting now?" Asked Madam Gazelle.

"Me!"
"Me!"
"Me!"
Everybody shouted as they stood up and sat back down again.

Madame Gazelle chose Pedro.

Pedro stood up. "Erm, 1.. 2..3..4."
Pedro has counted to four.

"Well done Pedro," said Madame Gazelle.

Everybody clapped for Pedro.

"Can anyone count higher then four?" Asked Madame Gazelle.

"Me! Me! Me!" Shouted Rebecca Rabbit.

"Rebecca."

Rebecca stood up. "1..2..3..4..5..6..7."

Rebecca has counted to seven.

"Excellent Rebecca," said Madame Gazelle.

"Madame Gazelle?" Said Candy Cat.

"Yes Candy?"

"My mum can count to 10," she said while standing up.

"Wow!" Said Everyone.

"Yes, after seven, it's 8..9..10," she said as she tapped the numbers on the black board.

"8..9..10," followed everybody together.

"Very good," said Madame Gazelle.

The bell rang.
It is play time.

All the children rushed outside.

Rebecca Rabbit, Zoe Zebra, Suzy Sheep and Peppa all like to skip.

"I like sand, I like sea, I like Suzy to skip with me." Peppa sang as she skipped.
She laughed.

"I like ping, I like pong, I like Zoe to skip along." Suzy sang as she skipped.
They laughed.

"I know, let's see who can skip the most without stopping," said Zoe Zebra.

"Squeak, I'll count," said Rebecca.

"1,2,3,4,5."

Peppa stopped.

"6,7,8."

Suzy stopped.

"9,10!"

Zoe was the winner.

"Zoe wins, hooray!" Said Rebecca.
