Hermione's POV

"Harry, I..."

I didn't know what to say. I was angry at Ron, disgusted at Lavender's behaviour, sad about our breakup, and now surprised and shocked because Harry said he loved me. Harry. My best friend.

Harry looked anxious to hear what I had to say. He looked into my eyes.

"Well?" He asked me softly.

I told him.

"H-Harry, I... I wish I could say yes. But... You're with L-Luna!"

He looked like he had just been Petrified.

"I... I don't know. I... I love both of you. But I don't want to hurt Ron. And Luna will be devastated!"

I thought of a solution.

"Harry, I know what to do. Let's... Lets just forget this happened. For now, be with Luna. I'm not saying I don't love you, Harry. You know that. But its only going to complicate things. For now, Ron is with Lavender. You're with Luna. And I'm..."

Harry put his arm around me.

"I get it, 'Mione. You just don't want to upset anyone. It's okay. I understand. But this is only temporary, right?"
