ACE TALK:

Ace – (occasionally spelled "ase") slang for "asexual."

Ace-spectrum – Refers to identities that are on the asexual spectrum, but not entirely asexual. Gray-asexuality and demisexuality are grouped under this term.

Aesthetic Attraction – Attraction based on appearance, but does not necessarily have romantic or platonic connotations. Aesthetic attraction is similar to the desire to continue looking at a beautiful painting or colorful sunset.

Alloromantic – A romantic orientation in which the person experiences romantic attraction in a manner that is considered to be the norm. The opposite of aromantic.

Allosexual – A sexual orientation in which the person experiences sexual attraction in a manner that is considered to be the norm. The opposite of asexual.

Androgynoromantic – Romantic attraction to androgyny, regardless of one's gender.

Androromantic – Romantic attraction to masculinity, regardless of one's gender.

Aro – Slang for "aromantic."

Aromantic – A lack of romantic
attraction.

Ace TalkAsexual – A sexual orientation that is characterized by a lack of sexual attraction.

Asexual Elitism – The idea that a person is asexual based on behavior rather than attraction, and that a person cannot be asexual unless they abstain from a variety of sexual behaviors. The philosophy is hotly contested by much of the asexual community because it derives on notions of purity.
