"I haven't seen you since the accident," he said. His voice had the same deepness I always remembered. Isaiah came into view. His dark brown hair was in its usual short style, and his eyes the same shade of brown. He had always been tall, about 6'2"-ish, but he was no match for Rob's 6'6" stature.
"Hello, asshole," I greeted icily. I stood up and crossed my arms. Rob stood by my side.
"Rob!" Isaiah exclaimed. "I haven't seen you since you took my girlfriend."
"Please," I scoffed. "You only dated me to get under Rob's skin. Not to mention I am not a possession."
"That's not true!" Isaiah interjected. "I genuinely liked you, Alex."
"Yeah, liked being the key word. You just wanted to get in bed with me," I snarled.
"And you think Rob didn't?" he laughed. I felt Rob tense next to me.
"No, I know he didn't."
Just then, the hostess called:
"Alex, party of two?"
I looked at Rob.
"Will you go grab our table? I need to deal with...him." Rob nodded and glared at Isaiah, pecking my cheek.
Isaiah stepped outside, me following.
"Why?" I asked lowly.
"Why what?" Isaiah smirked.
"Ugh, I hate it when guys smirk," I muttered. He chuckled.
"What about when I smirk?"
"Then I especially hate it," I said coldly. Isaiah laughed again.
"What ever happened after the accident?" he asked. "I remember going to your apartment and finding Rob, having a panic attack and swearing a lot."
"Why is that any of your business?" I asked, venom lacing every word.
"Simply curious," he replied, shrugging.
"You know what, Isaiah? Don't be curious. And you know, I think I know what your problem was," I said, smiling slightly.
"What?" Isaiah asked.
"You wanted to get into bed with me, but I refused. So you made up a fake cheating rumor and dumped me in front of the entire school. Then Caitlyn Robideaux, who felt bad for poor wittle Isaiah, let you get in bed with her. So you went to Homecoming together. I think that sounds about right, don't you?" I asked, looking at him.
"Alex, do you have any idea how much I want to kiss you?"
"I swear-" My threat was cut off by Isaiah bringing his lips down to mine. I immediately shoved him off me.
"Maybe this will get it through your thick skull that I'm not interested." I brought back my hand and slapped him across the face.
"Go be a douche bag somewhere else," I snarled. He just laughed.
"What, gonna tell you boyfriend on me?"
"First of all, he could beat the ever living shit out of you. He's about five inches taller, and has about fifty pounds on you. Second of all, no, I'm not going to tell him. Because I'm going to save your sorry ass," I said.
"Is it my ass or yours that you're trying to save?" he asked, before smirking and heading off to his car. I stood outside for a minute. I flipped him off, and went inside.
"Uh, I'm meeting someone?" I told the hostess. I saw Rob wave and I went over.
"How was your chat with Isaiah?" Rob asked. I shivered.
