[Chapter Eleven]

"Don't call me-"

As the girl's temper surged by the use of her proper name, Ringo already found himself growing irritated again. It was bad enough that he had to be stuck on the train, but it was just his luck that he would run into the same girl from the bookshop. He enjoyed the bit of teasing of using her own name against her, but he wasn't in the mood to hear her whining either. He understood why he hated his birth name, but he didn't understand why she hated hers.

"I heard you the first time," Ringo rolled his eyes at her fiery temper, "Unless you're going to say something original, don't bother. No one likes the sound of a broken record, it just becomes extremely repetitive."

He had to admit though that as she grew angrier, it was amusing to watch her hair go through an assortment of colours to match her mood. Currently, as she went to snarl at him, he watched as her hair went to a bright orange before settling back to green.

"Who do you think you are?" She snarled at him, watching as he walked over and plopped down into the seat across from her.

"I'm obviously the person that knows how to get under your skin. Pleased to meet you."

She looked absolutely appalled by his behaviour as if she expected him to act differently, but honestly, what could she expect after giving him the nickname of Piss-Toast Boy? Ringo had no intentions of being friendly to her, to begin with, but he certainly wasn't going to roll out any friendly gestures after that. With a smile, he tucked his hands behind his hand and propped his feet up across from him to get comfortable.

"If you think you're going to sit in here with me for the duration of the train ride, you are sorely mistaken," She said in a threatening tone. "I'm not letting you sit with me."

" Well, last time I checked, this isn't your train. You don't have a say as to where I sit and as of right now, I actually quite like this compartment in particular. It's rather cosy and I'm feeling awfully comfortably," He said as he made sure to move about in his seat with a content smile.

In a stubborn fashion, Nymphadora folded her arms and narrowed her eyes at him. " I'm not leaving-"

"I didn't ask you to," he said, "you're the one who's getting so worked up over here, Nymphy."

"You must have a death wish."

"I have plenty."

Suddenly, just as Ringo felt as though he was winning the small battle between them, he was caught off guard as the compartment door opened and other students just started piling in. They all seemed to know Nymphadora as they greeted the girl with bright smiles and loud squeals. Ringo flinched at all the high-pitched sounds and immediately, his smile vanished, replaced with a scowl. Throughout all their greetings, there were hugs and questions pertaining to how their summer holidays went, but finally, the true question was raised as all eyes finally seemed to notice Ringo's presence.
