AMEN!

Since the mission is a commission

The vision can never be an illusion

Hallucination, or figment of the imagination

In the 70's he saw it

Been shown to him like 3D cinema

From the first to the third Heaven it films

Perishing souls but no chimera

Silence, until it was broken like broken English

"Go lift up the faces of those that perish

And them that look up to me will be saved"

Two years later the logo and motto was shown

"To know Jesus and to make Jesus known"

The ministry was born and subjected to growth

Forty-one years later the boat is still much afloat

Sailing through storms and turbulence,

River Jordan, Red Sea with ebullience

Exuberance, buoyancy and effervescence

Like Noah's ark there are many compartments, department or segments

Though, one message, one mission, one vision, one destination, one God.

God bless the men that took the torch to the tertiary institutions

Lionly roaring aloud the message of love, truth & salvation

As did our Father in his days, good old days

With "Jesus loves you" branded T-Shirts

But in our day it was different

There was a bedrock to build on, the Kirk

Men grafted the Greater Evangelism Campus Crusaders

Onto it's mother Greater Evangelism World Crusade

Sole mission of taking the Vision to our tertiary institutions

You can't go to the battlefield and expect not to see bullet fly

You can't expect not to sweat if you go close to a fire

One institution at a time, GECC has grown

Still growing amidst of its clone

But let those men be known

Be forever remembered for their Peter-ness, Paul-ness, John-ness and Numbere-ness

Let the all Campus Crusaders remember

Dressman, Uche-Awaji, Gregre, Usman Dangana, Warri Numbere,

Woi, TSP Sunday, Late Prosper Black, Tams, Amatari, Toki Numbere

Few labourers but great harvest

Much toiling, ploughing, sowing but sweet sweat

Some still in the vineyard some are asleep

Ten years later it is us they reap

Running with the same torch they lit

Planting more branches growing like the Iroko tree

Colossal thanks to the Apostle and his wife

For answering the call of God upon their lives

For grand patronage and inauguration

Blessing this arm of the ministry with all blessings there is

To all pastors & churches for their stanchions

May God give y'all more unction to function

As we grow together in Him, faithfully waiting for our Ascension

AMEN!!!!
