Y/N's POV

After making the police report, the three of us went back home. I was at the wheel, with Grandma sitting on the passenger seat beside me and Jino at the back seat.

"Zero, so you'll stay with us for the time being until someone comes to claim you." Grandma informed and Jino nodded happily.

"Grandma, it's Jino. And you sounded like he was a little puppy who got lost." I laughed hard at the wrong words Grandma had chosen to use.

And Jino? He doesn't seem to matter at all.

When we reached the house, I took out the extra bed we had and laid in in the living room. I also prepared a pillow and a blanket for Jino.

"Jino, you'll sleep here from today onwards." He pouted at my statement.

"Wae? You don't like it?" I gave him a skeptical look

"Wae? You don't like it?" I gave him a skeptical look.

"Can't I just sleep with you?"

My ears and face immediately reddened at his answer.

"Of course not! You're a guy and I'm a girl!" I said defiantly, still blushing like crazy.

"I swear I'll not do anything to you." He put up a hand and said with a straight face.

"No way!" I shouted and ran into the kitchen to help Grandma with the dinner.

Jino's POV

I already knew that I will be sleeping in the living room because the house is actually very small, with two rooms only. One for Grandma, one for Y/N.

But I just wanted to tease her. I enjoyed watching her exaggerated expressions and so I asked,

"Can't I just sleep with you?"

She immediately turned into a big red tomato upon hearing my statement.

She's too obvious, it was so funny to look at her!

Then she stormed off to the kitchen to lend Grandma a hand.

Grandma was frying the fish while Y/N was cutting onions.

I really like to see them doing their work, but I didn't want to look like a freeloader so I decided to help.

"Do you need my help?" I scooted silently, stood behind Y/N and spoke softly in her ears. She was startled, my actions made her jumped.

I quickly pulled her other hand which was not holding a knife away in case she accidentally cut it with the other hand which was holding a knife.

"It's okay, I can manage." She gently pulled her hand free from my grasp and I could feel my heartbeat racing.

We were so close just now, and our hands touched too.

"Young people, there's an old lady here so watch what you're doing." Grandma suddenly voiced, but her eyes never leaving the frying fish.

Y/N and I exchanged glances and the both of us turned away in awkwardness.

After we had our meals, I volunteered to help Y/N with the dishes.

"Grandma, you can go and take a rest. Y/N and I will take over from here." Grandma gave me a warning look, as if she's reminding me something. Then she went into her room silently and closed the door behind her.

Y/N's POV

I could hear Jino telling Grandma to rest from the kitchen. It was weird that Grandma actually listened to him because as far as I knew, she is a person who had a mind of her own.

She does what she want, she doesn't care about what other people say.

I secretly chuckled to myself. I'm actually happy that they get along well.

Then I could hear footsteps walking into the kitchen.

I didn't understand why but I became conscious all of a sudden.

I pretended to be very busy with the dishes but I clearly knew that Jino is already approaching me.

He stand beside me and he took over the plate that I was holding. Our fingers touched by accident, and the fluttering feelings came back again.

"I'll lend you a hand." He offered. I nodded without words.

There we were, washing dishes together in silence.

This is seriously awkward.

Jino's POV

Seriously, she is so easy to read.

From the way she was doing her work and her facial expressions, I could see that she was feeling awkward with my presence.

I decided to lighten the mood so an evil thought came to my mind.

While she was not noticing, I splashed water in her direction.

"Yah! What do you think you're doing?" She shouted at me and then she decided to take revenge.

She also cupped her hands and fetched water before aiming it in my directions.

There we were, starting a water fight in the kitchen and I could hear her giggling like a child.

My heartbeat paced up as I looked at her having so much fun and I felt so contented that God had given me the chance to meet her.

Even if I did not manage to regain my memory someday, I won't have regrets because I still have her by my side.
