"Hey, is this Honey?" A rough, yet attractive and cool voice murmured.
"Yeah, may I ask whose calling?" I wondered suspiciously. It was a 951 area code, so it had to be someone I had recently met, otherwise they wouldn't have this number.
"Oh, yeah sorry this is Wes,"
He mistook my silence for somthing else and quickly muttered an apology, "I know it's early, but-"
"Oh no it's not that early," I said in an attempt to make it less awkward, glancing at the clock, however, I discovered it was indeed early.
"Okay well, I wondered if I could take you shopping today?"
I blinked, "Erm... what?"
I must've sounded like an idiot but.. seriously what the hell?
"You know, for a phone? I know those to-go phones aren't too reliable, especially if we're going on tour soon so I-"
"Sure," I blurted, not believing the words I was saying, "You kind of owe it to me anyways." I fought to hide the playful smirk in my lips, but he caught on to it.
"Sounds great," he said, and I thought I heard a small smile on the other line. I couldn't be sure though because of the static on the line. "Pick me up at say... noon?"
"Yes ma'am," the static rippled through his words once more before the line went dead.
Was it possible that I, the unknown small-town girl could be seen in public with the famous Wesley.. Wes Deans?
No, I thought, absolutely not.
But it absolutely was.
