My heart raced as Keegan and I inched our way toward the household. Now that I’m a werewolf, all my senses are times a hundred and I can tell there are many werewolves inside of Keegan’s house right now. I was nervous for starters. This is the first time I was actually meeting the whole pack and not just his family. I didn’t know how the others would act or if they would like me or not. I could care less if they liked me, but still, just thinking about it is kind of scary.

Once we reached our destination, I could tell my heart stopped beating for a slight second as Keegan opened the door. The smell of oaks and dirt met my nose all at once. I tried not to gag as it became worse as we swam through the heavy crowd. A small platform awaited us and we both climbed on. I couldn’t see everyone, but I’m sure they couldn’t be that far. They do have good hearing anyways.

“Good evening everyone. I can tell already that everyone isn’t here.” Keegan spoke. “Jim,” He says looking at a man with short brown hair and grey eyes. He looked at Keegan, “Can you please write down everything I say and print out copies for however many people aren’t here. It is very important that everyone knows what is going on.” Jim nodded grabbing a pen and notebook from his satchel and began writing a few things down.

“First thing is first, everyone I would like for you to meet my mate.” Keegan gestured his head over in my direction and my stomach turned flips. Everyone stared my way and I began to fidget.

“Hello, I’m Fay.” I say to the crowd. They stare at me a couple of minutes before they break out in applause. I give Keegan a confused look and he just shrugs.

“It’s about time you found her!” Some shouted while others – mostly the men – shouted “Lucky!” Whatever that meant...

“She’s also your Alpha, too. I would appreciate it if everyone treated her as if you were talking to me.” Keegan demanded and nods flowed through the room.

“Now secondly, we are under a very serious issue. As you all know, I accepted an old family friend back into the pack a little while ago. I thought it may be good, considering our packs don’t particularly like each other and maybe bringing her in would settle things… I couldn’t be more wrong.” Keegan said for all to hear, “Ever since she came back, she’s been nothing but trouble. She’s threatened and tried to kill Fay in several different ways.”

A door opened with a loud creaking noise and in walked two muscular men with chains in their hands. I could already tell by the horrid stench who it was that they were dragging in. Vivienne’s red fiery hair met my vision and a low growl inched its way up my throat, but I refuse to let it through. Vivienne looked sick and worn. Her small hands were red from chafing of the metal chains that were bound to her wrists. They looked like it hurt, but I could care less if she was in pain or not. I wanted her dead.

They chunked Vivienne down and walked back a few steps. That way, Vivienne was the only one standing before us. It reminded me of a palace. King Keegan and I the queen and Vivienne being dragged in to decide what punishment she would take as prisoner. How I longed to see that moment happen. Though, I knew it never would. This isn’t a fairytale after all.

Vivienne’s eyes met with mine and pure hatred rain over her features. I could tell what she was thinking right from the moment she opened her mouth. She wants me dead and gone just as much as I want her gone. I want her out of my life. I want to be happy with the new life that somehow created itself. Something totally different, but it grew on me and I have come to enjoy it.

“Keegan, what a pleasant surprise.” Vivienne said hoarsely. She smiled weakly at him and some of her teeth seemed to be missing. The others weren’t in very good shape either so it looked nasty. Keegan scoffed at her and she frowned slightly.
