{Part 6} Paralyzed Sanity

*Chara's POV*

Another day had started. I jumped out of bed having one of those stupid nightmares. I was sweating and panting it felt like I had a high fever. I then tried to get up and wake Asriel up.. But he wasn't there.. I slowly pulled my self out of the warm blanket.. My legs were numb and I was extremely tired.. After a couple of minutes I was out of bed and started getting dressed to go find the others.. When I was done I walked to the door. Suddenly I stepped on a sticky note that apparently had fallen from the door. The note said:

"Dear Chara,

It's me your best friend. Mom and dad have gone back to the ruins to bring home some gardening tools they had forgotten. Since you were sleeping I didn't want to wake you up so I let you sleep. Find me in the throne room.

Oh well, I guess it is just another day I had overslept. Why is this happening? Why am I waking up weak and tired lately? Anyways, I decided to go meet Asriel. Once I got out of the room I stood in the mirror we had placed. I was a complete mess. My face was pale white and my eye bags were heavy and blue. In a minute, my eyes started burning and turned red.. What is happening? Am I so disgusted of my self or is it just my past that wants to ruin the peace and my happiness. I don't want to know. Hastily, I turned away from the mirror and walked to the throne room. 

When I finally reached there I saw Asriel waiting for me.. It seemed as if he had planned a picnic.

-Howdy Chara? You are finally here! Come join me, he said with his usual plesant voice.

-Sorry to keep you waiting brother. I was sleeping heavily once again..

-Well that's fine Chara.. but.. what happened to you? You look sick..

-It's nothing Asriel.. I was having those nightmares again and I didn't sleep well..

-I am starting to worry for you! You look like something bothers you..

-Thank you for being concerned but it's ok.. I am fine..

-Oh well, have some chocolate and tea if you'd like.. he said while serving me delicious food.

''So, Chara, I want to let you know that daddy's birthday is in a week and I was wondering if you wanted to plan a surprise party for him''

- Really? This is so nice Asriel!!! We can definitely do that!!

-Um, Since you are a human, you might have somehow a ... party experience.. We can experiment with human party traditions!! Do you have an idea? 

(Human, parties, traditions..., suddenly I formed a picture of the past on my mind)

~FLASHBACK~

- WHY ARE YOU STILL STANDING HERE, HUH? GO TO THE BASEMENT AND LOCK YOUR SELF IN!! DON'T EVEN THINK OF ATTENDING THE PARTY. ORPHANS ARE NOT ALOUD TO CELEBRATE OUR CHILD'S BIRTHDAY

-But today it's my birthday as well.. Can't at least be in a corner to watch?

-I SAID NO!! YOU ARE NOT ONE OF US.. BUT IF IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY..YOU CAN HAVE THE LEFTOVERS OF OUR FOOD.. HA! YOU SCUM!

I suddenly ran to the basement and sat in my dusty uncomfortable bed.. I slowly picked up my candle and I lit it using a match.. 

-At least I can celebrate my self.. 'Happy birthday to me, Happy birthday to me.. Happy birthday dear Chara, happy birthday to me..'

Before I blew the candle off I made a wish.. TO DIE.. and I burst out crying.. The tears put the candle out as I buried my self in the blanket...

-CHARA! ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME? TALK TO ME CHARA!!

I was shocked!! Why? WHY CAN'T THOSE DAMN MEMORIES LEAVE ME ALONE! I CAN'T TAKE IT ANY LONGER!!

-I'm sorry brother.. I think I have a cold... May I go inside?

-Uh.. I was worried something happened to you but if it's that then of course.. I'll tell mom to take care of you once she arrives..

-Okay!!

I immediately ran to the bathroom.. My head was spinning around!!! Oh please somebody help me!! This can't be happening.. My body hurts.. My SOUL feels like it will be shattered in pieces!! I feel like I've been chased by my OWN SELF.. It feels like I WANT TO KILL MY SELF.. And what are these voices I hear? What are those fading figures I see surrounding me? What is this black aura that I'm drowning me..

I stared at the mirror and I saw my face and body melting..

-No, not yet.. I don't want to die here...I murmured..

It can't be now. BUT IT HAS TO HAPPEN. MY DEATH!! BESIDES THIS IS WHAT I CAME HERE FOR

I have to find a way to kill my self without hurting anyone.. ESPECIALLY ASRIEL!! MY BEST FRIEND..

With that way.. My rage will absorb the souls of the humanity..AND SHATTER THEM ALL

And with their DETERMINATION.. I WILL STAY ALIVE AND LIVE HAPPILY WITH THE ONES I LOVE..

This is it.. That's my plan...But I have to find a way to kill my own self first... 

After a while of releasing my emotions I decided to go to bed and sleep a little more..

(Some hours later)

-Hey Chara! It's me my child!! Goat mommy!! Can I get in?

I hardly opened my eyes as mom's soft voice had awaken me ''Yes mommy come in''

-My child.. Oh my sweet child!!!! Are you ok? I am here to help you.. she said as she leaned to see my face better  ''Oh... you seem fine now''

Fine? Is she real? If she says so then I'm 100% well.. ''Great mommy''

-Ugh.. I'm so relieved!!! By the way my child.. Asriel talked to me about planning a party for dad's birthday..Well why don't you and Asriel make him a butterscotch pie? I will give you one of my recipes and you will make it! I'm sure you can..

-Glad to hear mom!!! We will make the best butterscotch pie for daddy!!

-Well, this is great.. Nowie, I got to go to tell Asriel.. You can get some rest so you can completely recover.. 

-Okay mommy, see you

-Ok my child!!

A recipe? I have never made anything before.. No cruel human would have let me.. If only I could poison their stinky foods....

Wait...Poison?? THAT'S A WONDERFUL IDEA! The easiest and painless way to die.. But first.. I need a little experiment.. My daddy Asgore!!! His butterscotch pie.. If we replace butterscotch with something else..like.. buttercups!!! I think he won't die!!! Besides he is a king and a gardener.. He has told me and Asriel that buttercups are poisonous to humans and hazardous to monsters..Then once I try it I will achieve my plan..MY DEATH.. HUMANITY'S DESTRUCTION.. And me and my sweet family will live happily ever after..
