WHEN SCHOOL FINALLY ENDED, Jay and Carlos immediately started walking towards the exit, Jay in front of Carlos as Carlos tried to use Jay as a shield from Benjamin.

"An invitation to my party tonight. 5 o'clock, don't miss it. Seriously don't miss it, it might just help your reputation a bit." A snotty voice said from far away.

Carlos rolled his eyes at the voice.

Audrey Briar was giving out invitations to her alcohol-bound party.

"Alcohol-bound party, you say, huh?"

Was I talking out loud?, Carlos thought to himself.

"Yeah, you actually were, Frosty."

Oops.

Jay chuckled and turned around, causing Carlos to bump into his chest.

"Oof!"

"We need to get invitations to that party." Jay said, pointing over to Audrey.

"No. No, we do not." Carlos said, raising a finger in the air.

"It's possible Benjamin's gonna be there and I have a very good idea in mind." Carlos raised an eyebrow. "If we get invitations and get him to find us in the perfect moment when I do that idea, boom. Heartbroken little Benny."

Carlos shook his head, smiling softly. "You can go up to Audrey and ask her for an invitation, because she might find you attractive and want you there to flirt and... you know. But I, I will not get an invitation." Carlos crossed his arms over his chest.

Jay frowned at his negativity. "I'll make her, then."

Carlos furrowed his brows in confusion. "And exactly how do you plan on doing that. If you don't mind me asking."

"I'll tell her that if she doesn't give you an invitation, I won't go." The long-haired teen shrugged. "Simple as that."

"Jay, Jay, Jay," Carlos sighed, "Jay. I know you may be new at this school, so it's obvious you won't get how things work around here, but lemme tell you this: if you tell that to Audrey, she'll just shrug and hand out another invitation to another person." He explained, shaking his head and pursing his lips.

Jay frowned. "Well," He stood up tall, "You don't know if you don't try. So let's go!" He exclaimed and grabbed Carlos by his arm, dragging him towards Audrey's locker, where she was standing and giving out her invitations.

When they reached her, she looked up, raising an eyebrow and looking over Carlos. "May I help you?" She asked rudely, placing a hand on her hip. "You're blocking my path." She motioned towards the space Jay and Carlos were standing at, an annoyed look on her face.

"Oh, uh, sorry." Carlos immediately stepped out of the way, standing in the space next to her locker, but Jay pulled him back to where he was standing another at first.

"We just wanted an invitation to your party." Jay explained, pointing at the pink and white decorated envelopes.

"Well, he does," Carlos pointed over at Jay, who rolled his eyes, "I have and want nothing do with this. Absolutely nada." He smiled nervously at Audrey.

Audrey smiled mischievously. "Carlos, is this your new boyfriend?" She pointed at Jay.

Carlos immediately turned red from his cheeks to his ears and Jay smirked.

"W-What? No, you got it all wrong, this is my--" He was cut off by Benjamin stepping into the group and wrapping an arm around Audrey.

Carlos lost his blush and Jay quickly dropped his smirk and enthusiam, standing up tall and crossing his arms over his chest, eyes lowered towards Benjamin.
