(Warning!! You aren't in this chapter, but you're in the next one. If you are not interested in learning on how Marinette lost the miraculous, skip to the next chapter. If you didn't read the disclaimer THERE IS SWEARING!! Chapters may be "cringey" as I wrote them a long time ago, this story is being edited and future chapters are and will be much better. This chapter has been re-written about twice i am rewriting nearly the entire book at somepoint. It's flawed. There is no need to point out every little mistake made. I know you are probably trying to help, which is sweet. But pointing out every mistake someone makes is incredible unmotivating especially when the person is already aware of the flaws.)

Marinette had a big dorky grin on her face as she walked home from school. "I can't believe that I was voted nicest student in class!" She giggled.

"You deserve it, Marinette! Even Adrien voted you!" She responded, which caused Marinette to blush.

"I know...! Adrien! Thinks I'm the nicest student! Ah!" Marinette said, placing her hands on her cheeks. Tikki smiled at Marinette, who was super happy at the moment. She swung open the door to her parent's bakery and sniffed the air of freshly baked treats. Tikki was already hidden in her bag, so she just tucked her head while Marinette zipped it up. She walked into the kitchen, her parents were baking. "Hello, Mom! Hello, papa!" Marinette said, going to give them a hug.

"Hello, sweetie, " Her mom said, with a slight smile. She looked at Tom and her smile faded away. Tom stepped over to Sabine and Marinette.

"Sweetheart, we have something to tell you..." Tom trailed off.

"What? What is it? Is something wrong?" Marinette questioned. "

Follow us upstairs, He said, and began to make his way to the second floor.

Tom and Sabine went upstairs and sat on the sofa, gesturing for Marinette to sit down next to them. "Sweetie, we don't know how to tell you this, but, we're moving. I know this is a lot to take in, and we should have told you sooner..." Tom said, trailing off once again.

Sabine nodded with a frown on her face. "Wait, what?!" Marinette asked, confused and upset.

"I and your mother have talked about this a lot. And, we think it would be better for our business and for our family." Tom stated. "It's cheaper for us to live there, and we have a lot of family down there, " Tom continued.

But..! What about my friends?! Paris is so beautiful and means so much to all of us! We can't just leave!" Marinette said, tearing up. "I'm sorry, Marinette, but the decision is final," Sabine said, causing Marinette to cry. Tom and Sabine both went to hug Marinette. "We can still come to visit sometimes! We both think we'll all eventually be happier there. We've already packed most of our things up and put the house for sale, we move on Tuesday, so two days, "Tom said.

It took Marinette a moment to respond, her mind was all over the place. She didn't want to move, she didn't want to listen to a word they were saying. This wasn't something she wanted to do, this wasn't like when she was offered to go to New York. There was nothing positive in this for her, she wouldn't get to move back. "Okay..." was all she was able to respond with.

Tom and Sabine glanced at each other, they pitied Marinette. But, their decision was final.

Marinette got up and slowly went to her bedroom, where she went over to her bed and began to cry. Tikki flew out, she heard everything. "Marinette! I heard what happened.. are you okay?" Tikki asked, placing her tiny hand on Marinette's shoulder.

"No, Tikki. I'm not okay. I'm moving from Paris... I'll lose everything! My friends, my house, even my miraculous!" Marinette said.

Tikki frowned, she knew that the miraculous had to stay in Paris. She desperately tried to come up with a solution but to no avail.

"I have to give up my miraculous. I have to bring it back to where it belongs, to master Fu, " Marinette said, burying her face into her knees.

"But..!" Tikki stuttered.

"If I can't fight alongside Chat Noir to defeat Hawkmoth, then someone else must. There is a villain who akumatizes people almost every day... It would be greedy of me to keep this miraculous! Master Fu can find someone else worthy of being Ladybug, I want Paris to remain safe, " Marinette said, lifting her head to look at Tikki.

Tikki began to tear up. "Marinette, you're the perfect Ladybug. Can't you live with someone else in Paris..?" Tikki suggested.

"I'm afraid not. I guess I have to start over with my life... I'm sorry, Tikki."

Before Marinette could do anything else, Tikki flew to her, wrapping her arms around her arm to give her a hug. "I'm going to miss you, Marinette!" Was all the kwami could manage to get out of her mouth.

Placing her fingers over her earrings, Marinette frowned at Tikki. "Goodbye, Tikki. I'll never forget my time spent as Ladybug, not ever."

"Marinette, wait!" Tikki yelled, but it was too late. Marinette had removed the earrings from her ears and placed them into the box she received them in.
She set it down and began to walk around her room, removing things from the walls. She then looked up at her Adrien poster, just staring at it. "I'm sorry Adrien... I really wish I had a shot with you, " She said, before taking it down. After packing some of her things up, she went downstairs, earrings in her hand.

"Mom, Papa! I'm off to return something I borrowed from a friend!" Marinette said. "Bye, sweetie! Stay safe!" Sabine and Tom replied.

After that, Marinette exited the building. She found her way to the place Tikki had taken her on multiple occasions, stepping inside. She looked down at the earrings, a frown on her face, and then looked up at master Fu.

"Greetings, Marinette, " Master fu said calmly. "You seem down, what's wrong? And why are you holding the ladybug miraculous?" Master fu questioned.

Marinette took his hand and placed the miraculous in his hand. "I'm sorry, master Fu. I can't be Ladybug any longer..." Marinette mumbled, using all the power in her not to cry.

"Why is that, Marinette? You make an astounding Ladybug, you fit the part perfectly. We have hawkmoth to fight, you cannot quit now!" Master Fu said.

"I don't want to, but I have to. I'm moving away from Paris. If I'm not here and I keep the miraculous... it's unfair to the people of Paris, especially Chat noir. Therefore I request you to give this to another person, worthy of being Ladybug, " Marinette said.

"I see... That's a very generous decision of you, Marinette. But are you sure?"

Marinette nodded. "I'm sure." She said master Fu nodded in response. Marinette then stood up. "goodbye, " She said, taking one last look at the place before leaving for good.

The next day at school, Marinette began to clean out her locker. She was then approached by Alya. "Hey, girl, what's up? You've seemed pretty bummed today, "She said.

Marinette looked up. "Oh, Hi, Alya. Yeah... I'm pretty upset.. I'm moving away from Paris tomorrow." Marinette said. "What?? You're kidding, right?" Alya said, a frown forming on her face. "I wish.. but no. We're moving to Limoges." Marinette said. "Oh my god... I'm so sorry, Mari. I'm going to miss you so much." Alya said, giving a big hug. Marinette picked up her stuff. "I gotta go home to pack, see you," Marinette said. "Bye.." Alya said, waving. Just then, Adrien and Nino went up to Alya. "What was up with Mari?" Adrien asked. "Oh.. shes moving to Limoges, it sucks, I know." This made both Nino and Adrien frown. "Bro what?! You can't be serious!" Nino said. "Unfortunately, she really is moving.." Alya said. "Oh, that makes me really sad... Marinette was such a great friend, I'm gonna miss her, I think we all are." Adrien said Nino and Alya nodded.

That night, there was an Akuma attack. But, Ladybug never showed up. Chat noir attempted to call her, but no answer. "Where could she be? She's NEVER missed an Akuma attack.." he said to himself. Eventually, he did defeat the akumatized person. But without Ladybug, there was no way for him to purify the Akuma. Chat noir stared deeply at the Akuma. "I really don't want to, but I guess I have to," Adrien said, before killing the Akuma. "Where on earth are you, Ladybug?" Chat noir asked himself. The next day, the same thing happened, she never showed up. Chat sat down on a roof and stared out at the city. "Where could she be?" Adrien asked. He then realized that Marinette moved away the same day. "No.. it couldn't be. Was Marinette... Ladybug?" He said. "She's... gone now." Chat noir began to tear up.

"Of course, just my luck."
