"Let's go!" Katie yelled. I hopped out of the shower and dried off quickly. Thirteen hours until I could see my boyfriend...whom I hadn't spoken to in about a month and a half. I changed and put my clothes on. I dried my auburn hair and put it into a simple braid down my back. Rob. I missed him so much. I looked at my phone.
My flight left in half an hour. I cleaned everything up and grabbed my bags.
Bye bye, Holmes Chapel.
I went into the living room where Katie, Henry, Nate, Louis, and Luke were waiting. Well, they were on the road, so they were here on Katie's iPhone.
I put my bags down.
"I'm gonna miss you guys," I said, blowing a kiss to Nate. I blew a kiss to Luke. Then Louis. Then Henry. I gave him a huge hug in my head.
"Bye Haz," I said softly. "Thank you so much."
Katie and I left with that goodbye. We went to the car and I put my bags in the bag.
We started chatting.
"I'm glad you're...well still here. I can't believe it, honestly. You're my best friend," I said. Katie laughed.
"I can't believe it either. You're my best friend too, and I can't wait to come and visit again. I am gonna miss you. What time does your flight come in?" she asked.
"About 2:30. I should be able to surprise Rob at halftime," I said, smiling at the thought of Rob.
"Good," Katie said. We pulled into the parking lot of the airport. I grabbed by bag and we started walking to the terminal. We entered and got everything done. We got to security, and Katie had to go.
"Bye Alex," she said, embracing me tightly.
"Bye Katie. I'll text you when I land," I said, my eyes misty. I gave her one last hug and went into security. I breezed through and went into a little shop. I bought some gum and a magazine. Then I heard:
"NOW BOARDING FLIGHT 1208 TO LOGAN AIRPORT IN BOSTON, MA."
I ran down to my gate at a speed that could've broken the Olympic record. I got on the plane and within about ten minutes, we were off.
For the first five-ish hours, I was out cold. The person sitting next to me said that we hit a lot of turbulence. Then, for about another five hours, I tread the last two Twilight books. Yeah, they're like a fourth grade reading level, but hey. The last two hours I was speaking to the person sitting next to me.
"So," she asked, "what brings you to Boston?"
"Actually, I'm a native. I was visiting a friend," I explained. She looked in thought for a second.
"You seem very familiar. Something to do with the Patriots or Red Sox," she said, furrowing her eyebrows.
"Patriots," I chuckled. "Rob Gronkowski's girlfriend."
I felt giddy with excitement just upon hearing his name. I missed him so much.
"Yes! That's it!" she exclaimed.
"NOW LANDING IN BOSTON!"
We landed and I felt so happy. We waited for about ten minutes before we could get off the plane. I ran down the terminal with my bags, determined to get to Rob quickly. I hailed a cab when I got out of the airport.
"Where to?" the cabbie asked.
"Gillette Stadium," I said quickly. He started off to Gillette.
