I was so relieved when Harry woke up. I gave him the tightest hug I could muster, but without hurting him of course. "Um, well, your broom sort of landed in the Whomping Willow and you know how it is," Ron said awkwardly showing Harry his broken broom. I rolled my eyes. Way to go Ron. Just make him feel even worse than before.
"Don't be too hard on yourself, Harry." I told him. "It's not your fault that Dementor attacked you." He sighed.
"Besides, when Diggory found out about it, he wanted a rematch." Fred said shrugging. Harry looked like he still didn't feel any better about the whole thing. Madam Pomfrey ended up letting him go a few hours before dinner.
"How are you feeling, Harry?" I asked him, as I sat down next to him at dinner. He was still upset about the match this afternoon. He shrugged.
"I feel fine. I'm just a little bummed out." I gave him a hug.
"Don't worry, Harry. I'm sure everything will turn out just fine." After that whole ordeal, I decided to finally tell Parkinson what I was going to do to her and then not do it until sometime later. I found her sitting near Draco at dinner time. So I used the excuse of going to talk to Draco to go over there. Of course, I really didn't need an excuse to go over there because Draco, Blaise, and Theo were my friends now. "Hey guys!" I greeted them grinning. I could feel Parkinson glaring at me, but I ignored it.
"Hey, how's your brother?" Blaise asked curiously.
"He's alright now. He was pretty upset about the match, though." I said rolling my eyes. "Sometimes I wish he'd worry about his own health for once." Seriously, if he keeps this up, he's going to end up dying young or something and I really don't want that. Draco snorted.
"You mean, he actually cares about other people than himself?" I frowned.
"Yes, if you were about to get killed by Voldemort, he'd jump out in front of you to save you." I know Harry doesn't think much of Draco, but that didn't mean he wanted Draco to die. Draco just stared at me in disbelief. I rolled my eyes. "You don't have to believe me if you don't want to, but I'm not going to sit here and listen to you being mean to him." Draco grimaced.
"I'm sorry." Blaise and Theo just looked at him shocked. I sighed.
"It's fine," Parkinson finally made her move.
"Don't listen to her, Draco." She said glaring at me. Draco just rolled his eyes.
"What do you want, Parkinson?" He asked her looking annoyed.
"How about we go talk by the lake?" She asked him, smiling and batting her eyelashes. I rolled my eyes. I would've said something, but Draco can fight his own battles. Draco shook his head.
"We're not allowed to be out after dark. No thanks," She pouted. It made me cringe. She looks like a pug when she does that.
"What do you want?" She sneered at me.
"Oh nothing. I just wanted to let you know that you should expect to find dung beetles in your hair at some point and maybe a little something else." I said grinning. For a few seconds she looked worried, but then she covered it up with another sneer. "Also if you keep making faces like that, your face will get stuck." She huffed and stomped off. Blaise and Theo cracked up laughing.
"Dude, that was awesome!" Blaise said grinning. I shrugged.
"I didn't appreciate her sticking her nose in our business like that."
"When are you going to do all that stuff?" Theo asked eagerly.
"I'm not sure yet, but when I figure it out, I'll let you know." I said grinning. I was excited about it. I was still a little upset with Draco after dinner, but I wasn't going to let it get under my skin. I had to consider the fact that Draco doesn't like Harry and has tried since we became friends to not bash Harry around me. The comment he made earlier was probably a slip up and I know I should be more upset about Draco talking bad about Harry when I'm not around, but I can't expect Draco to just suddenly start liking Harry and trying to be his friend. That was something that would require a lot of work and effort from both sides. I know Harry is trying too.
