Out of the Shell

Chapter 5

Theo swore silently. "Why must it be today? I'm not even prepared...." Molly and Theo's father, Marcus Elexine, would be visiting today. And Theo was about to come out to him. Great. The fashionable, fashion designing father would find out his son was Gay.
"Hello Darlings!" ,Their father laughed as he was embraced by Molly and Theo. Molly winked at Theo, who just shuddered. "I have gifts for yooouuu~", Marcus smiled and handed his children pink packages with black ribbon. "Darlings, you should visit my office sometime! My colleagues have been absolutely dying to meet you!" "N-No thanks, Father." , Molly tried standing for her brother. "Actually, Father... Theo has something to tell you." Theo looked down at his feet and ran to the fridge. He took out a small cake and handed it to his dad. "Is it okay... That I am gay?", Read the cake. Marcus hugged his son. "Oh Theo, it is okay! Your mother would understand, I'm sure. I think." Theo smiled at Molly, who was smiling back. Thank you, he mouthed.

The doorbell rang once more. Marcus got up from eating his son's excellent piece of baking and opened the door. It was Tai. Molly rushed down to take over. "Tai! You didn't bring Talia, did you?" ,She said as she hugged her friend. Tai shook her head and smiled at the Elexines' father. "Nice to meet you, Sir." ,Tai giggled. Marcus wiped his mouth and smiled back. "We'll be upstairs, Dad. If you need anything the kitchen probably has it!"
Tai was dragged into the Twins' Bedroom. Theo's face lit up to the sight of Molly's good friend. Tai waved shyly.
"Wait, why is Tai here again?"
"Because we need a cover story. I'm not going disguised, silly!"
"Ah. So what is it, and why is Molly not going."
"What colour is it?"
"Theo's wig? Blonde."
"You're fitting all those curls in there?"
Molly and Tai laughed at Theo, who was frowning.
"You're kidding me."

Theo turned around in his 'disguise', as Tai put her hand to her chin. "He could either be my cousin or my... Wait, he is my ex." Molly turned to Tai. "You're bi?" "No, I'm Pansexual. Duh." Theo thought of Kindergarten, where he briefly ''went out'' with Tai and smiled. "And he became Gay." Theo nodded at Tai's question. "I choose cousin, thanks.",he stated. "What're we talking about?"
The door shut behind Tai and Marcus. Molly and Theo seemed relieved for Marcus to take Tai home, it would keep her entertained. "Why does Tai like our Dad so much? He's like every other dad.",Theo sat down and opened a packet of Pringles. "He's extremely camp, that's all." Molly shrugged and dug her hand into the crisp packet. Theo turned on the Television as she stuffed the crisps into her mouth, one by one. The East Angelian news jingle blasted from the surround-sound. Theo rolled his eyes, switched channels and then stole his sister's crisp. "Wow, Theo."
