Chapter 20: Its Time.

I then injected the poison he gave Gaara. Orochimaru groaned in pain and collapsed. The smoke cleared up. Gaara and the others looked to my direction and saw Orochimaru on the floor and me standing next to him with an empty needle in my hand.

Gaara walked up to me slowly. "How did you kill him (Y/N)?" Gaara asked me, surprised. "I sneaked up on him, jumped on his back, and then I injected Orochimaru with the poison he gave you." I answered. "You did a good job (Y/N)." Gaara said to me.

"Thank you. But Orochimaru is not dead yet. He will die in 3 to 5 minutes by the poison." I said. "Hopefully he will slowly die and suffer with pain by the poison eating away his insides and burning him up..." I thought in my mind. "If at least he dies, it's fine." Gaara said.

Gaara walked in front of me and put his hands on my shoulders. "G-Gaara?" I whispered. Temari and Kankuro stood there, watching us quietly. I slowly put my hands on his shoulders too.

I smiled as I blushed. Gaara leaned closer to me. I didn't do anything. I just stood there, eyes closed, waiting for the moment.

Gaara kept leaning closer until our faces were only three inches away. I felt Gaara's warm breath on my face. Gaara closed his eyes and slowly, our lips met. Temari's and Kakuro's eyes widened in surprised and their jaws dropped.

"Gaara's lips are so warm and soft... I wish this moment could last forever... I will cherish this moment forever..." I thought. Gaara and I stood there, kissing, for a couple more seconds. We slowly opened our eyes and stopped kissing. We looked in each other's eyes, smiling and blushing.

Temari did a fangirl squeal and ran to Gaara and me. She hugged me super tight and yelled, "I KNEW YOU WOULD TAKE MY OFFER AND FINALLY BE A COUPLE!" "Uh, yeah." I said, confused. Kankuro walked up to Gaara.

Kankuro gave Gaara a pat on the shoulder. Gaara jumped a bit and looked at Kankuro. "Good job little bro, you finally got a girlfriend. But, uh, you should've picked a better place to kiss her instead of this death dungeon. But, whatever." Said Kankuro.

Gaara smiled. Temari stopped hugging me and Kankuro took his hand off Gaara's shoulder. "Well, we finished the mission guys. Now, let's return home and announce that the mission was a success." Said Kankuro.

"Right!" We said in unison.
