Ridhi smiled & squinted looking at me. Then thankfully, her daughter didn't ask any more questions & concentrated on her ice cream.
"She looks just like you! What's her name?" I asked holding a diminutive hope in my heart that she might have named her 'Asmi', the name we had decided years ago.
"Ayushi." She smiled looking at me. "Akash liked Ayushi more than Asmi."
"Haha! Ayushi is nice too!" I gave out a laugh realizing she still held the ability to read my mind.
"How are you doing? How is life & everything? Mom & dad?" I asked so many questions at a time, nervously.
Something about her had started to feel different. She seemed like a totally different person as every second passed. Her voice had changed. The way she tied her hair, the way she dressed, the way she talked, how she sounded, everything felt different except the way she smelled. Even her eyes didn't belong to her. She wasn't herself without her eyes reflecting her soul.
She looked too skinny; maybe she was going to gym & had lost weight on purpose. I started to think about something that could bring this subject up & tell her to stop loosing anymore weight.
