Good Stuff

Mom and I went to the store today.

They were selling If You’re Feeling Sinister, the album by Belle and Sebastian. That was Mike’s favorite album, he always told me to listen to it whenever I’d see him.

“Did you listen to it yet?”

“Nah, I will, though. No worries!”

“Oh man, you have to listen to it. It’s really, really good stuff.” Then he’d grin and ask me if I wanted anything. That happened both times I saw him.

I never listened to it.

Mom didn’t understand why I started crying and asking if we could buy it.
